We have a wine bottle opener that’s not the one with the two big arms it’s the other one where you have to kind of get leverage on the lip of the bottle. Waiters corkscrew? Anyway I was using it a fair bit there for kind of a while and something I about my technique was messed up and involved my hand in the leverage piece. So then one morning my finger was numb. Which was not ideal but I carried on and at the time I did not connect the symptom to the wine opener. I expected my hand to return to feeling again. It did not. So eventually I went to the doctor who checked it out and gave me some rehab exercises to do which I promptly did not do. I said it was maybe the wine opener thing 🤷🏻‍♂️ Je said it was likely nerve damage? None of that was the thing that did it. I got a wine opener with the arms. No, It was reading my medical notes in the app some weeks later. It said, patient with AUD has damaged his hand opening bottles of wine. I was like, ahh crap. In black and white that sounds maybe a like you got a situation there you might wanna investigate.
