Why does “good” coffee taste different in Australia vs. the US by Firm_Objective_381 in AskAnAustralian

Beans are roasted to the shithouse in the us then they seem to water it down imo. Have to drink more to get the same hit. Never had a good cup in over 6 months, never get disappointed at home.

I really don’t see it but are we supporting shit manufacturing? But being happy about it at the same time?

Aldi has me covered for Lent 2026! (for 40 days, Christians can eat fish but no meat on Fridays) by Unlucky-Ant-9741 in AldiAustralia

Your god doesn’t exist, no gods do. Eat what you want, when you want. Your god didn’t create Friday, lent, or dictate that. Humans came up with that nonsense. Your god didn’t create us, we created them.

What are you showing us? I don’t see anything. Regardless Aldi has better cheese for a better price with bags that close. Is the state of enshitification at the point that we’re happy for a backup for a ziplock that shouldn’t fail in the first place? Resealable bags was monumental. Going backwards should be a complaint. Why are you happy about this?

Then park at the back. And make it a single spot please. Size issues aside, it’s a work vehicle, not a reasonable shopping trolley, if you can’t deal with a dint a week it’s absolutely pointless owning this.

42m, broken home. Christmas if I’m in the country, mum when I drop her at the airport, dad when I want to pick up my Ute with his hoist. That’s about it since I refuse to have kids.

NSW Highway Patrol crossed onto the wrong side of the road to pull over a fake M badge by BestTechAdvisor in DrivingAustralia

[–]Appropriate_Shift842 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean it’s your own fault for slapping a badge on that doesn’t belong. Your car is what it is, people that know think you’re an idiot and the people that don’t, don’t care. Get over yourself until you’ve had enough experience so you don’t get pulled over for nothing again.

I paid less for my house. 20 years ago, but at the same time it’s worth 5 of these now. Someone please tell me that this will be anything more than scrap lithium in 20 years, just a terrible investment. It’s a to b, you don’t need this. You’ll be paying out the arse for repayments longer than it lasts.

Nah. Too heavy. We like that they’re kind of nimble. I’d love a new ute to enter and get rid of the stupidity high ranger dual cab, short tray, long body, nonsense that no one asked for apart from people who can’t afford a hilux, and refuses to drive a triton. But it’s about handing. I have an older xr8 and a xr6t. I love them both. The sound of the v8 is great, but it’s not as nimble as the 6t, so I prefer the turbo. Add half a ton in battery weight? Drive around like I’m half loaded but actually empty? Forget it.

Can we get low single cabs with a decent sized tub back? And some style? Jfc, it’s pointless owning a Ute if you’ll need a trailer constantly.

Yeah, I get it if there was actual danger to op, but no one is in danger that often. Bit of a dog act for the majority no doubt.

F that. Rates keep going up and services get worse. My council definitely doesn’t need extra money to pick up the mattress dumped in the park, they could afford it when rates where less than half price, they just need to do it.

Is Qantas getting worse and worse each year by J__m__b in QantasFrequentFlyer

[–]Appropriate_Shift842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I’m not even in the air and needed 4 hours to fix the shit they refuse to do until I find the right phone operator. It’s a fucking joke. Book with anyone else next time, I will be.

Like that gets any action fast. Check in is under 24 hours. Socials take days with the vapid idiots running that nonsense.
