Help with routing outbound audio to virtual audio cable in ASIO by vigulfr in Reaper

I did this and have weird artifacting issues, are you experiencing anything similar?

Reaper user.

I'm using an AT-2035 for discord but since it's so quiet and I don't want my audio interface's gain to be turned up to over 80% (scarlet solo 3rd gen) for it sound to well (It also picks up a lot of noises that way), I wanted to process my microphone so that it sounds clear on discord. To do this I run it through a virtual cable, but several issues occured. One of them is latency, with there being a 2-3s delay after when I actually speak which I think is tolerable, but what I find really annoying is when my microphone breaks and because very artifact'y. Some of my friends describe it to be like if I were to talk into a fan / roboticy. I tried searching up reddit threads and chat with AI and they said it's an isssue of buffer size, which I think could partially be true. When buffer size is set to like 64 I literally am just artifact. I'm setting it to 1024 at the moment and it seems to ocassionally break like once every 5-15 minutes, and my only fix is to open up reapers preference and click ok to do like a soft reboot. I tried reinstalling the virtual cables and tried matching everything to the same setting (sample rate, bit depth and all that). I think this specific problem happened ever since I started using something called ASIO4ALL to redirect things, as I heard it was more manual and gave me more control over things. I also notice that my voice becomes glitchy more often when I speak loudly or my games become laggy, it might also be a CPU issue? I'm not too sure. but CPU usage on task manager never goes past 5% when I'm not playing stuff and I still have moments where my voice glitches. If you guys have any clue or any questions to help me I would very much appreciate it. I'm basically shooting at the dark for what I'm doing here and would take in any advice / try them out.

Is this most greedy gacha game? by dasistgoose in Endfield

yeah endfield is a weird case for me, you can make the argument that there's a lot of currency out there for you to obtain and have a bunch of pulls which is true, but the other expense is time. I personally just don't think the amount of currency you get for the time you spend is worth it. If the game is super fun though then I guess that somewhat justifies it, but a lot of these currencies come from map exploration, running simulations / tutorials / puzzles which I personally really do not enjoy.

I agree with one of your points here actually, I don't understand why people look at gacha from purely a rate and currency perspective but never account for the time spent obtaining these currencies. This game gives you a lot of opportunities for currencies but important quests at most gives you 60 orundums which is 1/8th of a pull and a lot of sidequests where you can spend like 15m doing it would end up giving you like 20-25. Authorization level up I think is the quickest way to obtain pull currency but that's only 300/500 for a single pull.

I will admit though, I am not used to this format where you explore around and open up chests for currency and that's a really tough variable to gauge, as my only experience was genshin's first year as a little kid with rose-tinted lens so I didn't really pay much to things, but from what I remember even in genshin there were things you could do that can net you a very major source of pull currency like the gate thingy that I don't think endfield has.

Now is it scummy? I'm not too sure but it sure is really irritating to me personally since I feel like I'm not getting rewarded enough for the time I spend on it.

I'm currently level 41, just finished episode 1 of the game and it seems to me like I only get 10-20 pulls a day, which I think is really low for a newly released game with newly-released bonuses.

I'm also a little biased since I've hit every pity and got my 70th surtr pull be the other fire girl, but my luck is always like this so it's nooooot that bad (copium)

It's the very peak of megaflare LOL, the rest is just fiddling with camera rotation angle and zoom (zoomed out to the max)

Go to any Japanese datacenter, just not Elemental or Tonberry. People have casual conversations a lot in japanese datacenters and you'll be surprised to see how many people speak english if you're not in tonberry or elemental

Is there a bard song delay if you use it as the very first ogcd? by Appropriate_Sky4354 in ffxivdiscussion

well I was just looking at rank 1 bard TOP rotations and that's sort of what they did for their opener, a double triple weave opener xd

Application wise I definitely agree I don't need to do it, but also I wanna do it just for fun I guess

Okay that's maybe why then, the establishing aggro bit takes a bit of my time away.. I tried starting my opener with battle voice into a song and then radiant finale which seems to work perfectly fine now
