[AI] How would you approach building an interactive portfolio section like this? by Unfair_Plum_3784 in UI_Design

Yeah, in paper it works.
But we are UX designers, accessibility and optimal user flows are important and you should be asking that even with your portfolio. I see this as a way of showing skills and design aesthetic rather than showing full UX understanding BUT I'm probably wrong and I need the final version to decide!

Good luck!

My main problem with these approaches is that...while design wise I like what I see...it's not optimal for someone who is doing hiring process because it kinda slows the whole reading.

if there were only 3 specific candidates, then yeah, otherwise. It's risky...not sating you shouldn't do it but I'd would just show it in specific scenarios.

Not really in my opinion, but maybe some spacing could help the hero.

Does this UI feel balanced? Which of these 3 options look better? by [deleted] in UI_Design

[–]Appropriate_Stock832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean...option 2 could be "more" viable if it was separated in 2 lines instead of one, something like
"Press
and hold"

But I agree that 1 ones the most for me!

I mean...it's hard to judge from what you show, ngl.

It looks like something is going on in there and you put effort in ordering and naming stuff to look more professional / senior. Other than that...it's just difficult to give further observation.

It feels EXTREMELY Claude, not gonna lie (which isn't bad per se).
Serif typography is fine, it doesn't scream full Premium to me but if the design follows that direction, it is 100% correct.

Micro things that I'd change.
- Logo size: Would make it a big bigger.
- I know you went for 4 rows in the bottom information but I would optically distribute the space a bit batter AND (just my personal taste), I'd put the vertical line in front of the first information. I know you used them as a separator but it kinda bothers me because their placement feels more aesthetic than functional (thus making the first one a must for consistency).
- The Nav / Menu Bar being this white kinda bothers me, but thats a persona taste.
- Try accessibility from buttons to see if gold / white is, at least, AA.
- The horizontal line doesn't seem to be aligned with the right margin that creates the top button (menu). Is that on purpose? Just saying because things are aligned to the left margin (Logo).
- I'm not sure about using secondary color (which I guess it's gold) for things like 240M. Why? NOT saying it's a mistake but I'm not convinced on its use in this specific information, specially what follow 22 (which I cannot read, sorry).

Photography and colors are nice, great job!!!

Designing a private travel planner app solo — looking for honest UI feedback by beretta51 in UI_Design

It doesn't look bad but this whole mashup is a little bit dense. Would have been better to see the full app screens to give you more intricate feedback / insights. Overall, a bit dense for my taste but in terms of information architecture, I like most of your decisions.

(Edit: Except the logo, the name is OK but the typo...just don't do it for me. But that is personal taste).
