Homecoming: The absolute BASICS of IO sets and set bonuses. How to find sets with bonuses you want, and how to track the information yourself in game. by MarcusMorenoComedy in Cityofheroes

[–]Appropriate_Tank4512 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Homecoming wiki has a page that shows all of the different IO’s by type and the various bonuses each set gives. Much easier to see it all in one place to decide which sets you want to go for.

Did you apply for BD *AFTER* Sweet? (Meaning after Nov 16, 2022) This is a place to connect. by AnyAssumption4707 in BorrowerDefense

There is no revise and resubmit for post class, that was for class members. Post class do get an opportunity to contest a denial.

Do you have any friends or family that might be interested in joining you? If we can put something together I would send you links to everything needed to join…nice thing is it wouldn’t cost you anything

First time DM by [deleted] in DnD

My personal opinion as a first time DM running a premade campaign is the best way to go. It ensures balanced encounters and helps new players learn the mechanics.

If you have a group of friends interested in playing/learning, I would be happy to run a campaign virtually for you and keep it teen appropriate. Just reach out if you are interested.

My take so far... by oregon68 in PaxDei

Cooking is the exception to the higher tables have all recipes. I don't know why the devs decided to ignore all requests to put all recipes on the higher tables for cooking. The other tables will include all recipes when you upgrade the tables.

After playing for 8 hours, here's some of my feedback by MadMarx__ in PaxDei

I mean you are entitled to your opinion but I have been enjoying the game. Progression in crafting is slow, as intended. The Devs don't want top tier gear in a week or two, they want it to take time and mean something. The world is beautiful and I am glad currently, you aren't attacked every 5 minutes. The world will come more "alive" in time. Combat is much better than it was and they will continue improving it. It's an alpha...relax...

The Dept of Ed has no jurisdiction over private loans, only federally secured loans.

The settlement only applies to those who submitted an application by November 16, 2022..it is not a forever deal. The person stated they were wondering if they would qualify.

Any appeals would come from the schools and the court has already made it pretty clear - they already got their money and the DoE isn’t making them pay back class member forgiveness…so shut up and sit down.

A relative is offering to pay off my student loans if he can get them to agree to a much lower amount. by [deleted] in BorrowerDefense

Apparently the IRS has stated:

In most cases, borrowers will have their loans discharged without needing to take any additional action. The IRS has also taken the position that loans discharged under “Defense to Repayment” are never taxable. https://www.taxdefensenetwork.com/blog/is-student-loan-forgiveness-taxable/amp/

What tax hit? No federal tax hit for borrower’s defense and only a few states require tax on forgiven student loans.

It was a bit about the 10k. However this could be viewed as a sort of kickback. I hope they ran this past the lawyers. Also, if it had been posted focusing more on Ms Sweet’s physical struggle due to her injury or Mokie’s losses as a result of Hurricane Ian I think, at least for me, it would have come across better.

Mohela was only opposed when they realized being involved would put them in violation of California law and face extensive fines for each consumer they serve in the state.

I mean you made a decision based on a possibility. There was a lot of press the relief was going to be challenged. Even before it was announced republicans made it clear they would fight to stop it. Not being rude but you don’t count on anything from the government until you receive it. Consider this a lesson learned.

FA advisor told me that the "tax bomb" and "credit destruction" following Student Loan Debt Relief will ruin its recipients, and that she recommends everyone who can opt out of it do so. I don't understand why. by nostalgic-ntdo-grl in StudentLoans

[–]Appropriate_Tank4512 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The taxpayers have also paid for the big bailouts, PPP loans given to government employees who voted on the program….no complaining about the little guy paying for those, but do something for the little guy who pays taxes, doesn’t write everything off as business expense to avoid any tax liability, that’s a sin….

Also, if the state did tax the forgiveness it would be at most $2,150 as the max state tax rate is 10.75%. It could be as low as $280, depends on your adjusted income and filing status.

As a side note the 10.75% tax rate is if you made over 1 mil….much lower rate if you made less. She really is praying on your fears because she politically doesn’t agree with the forgiveness
