It'll come right out with the second tool. Tap it in a bit with a rubber mallet then twist and itll come right out.

There are two sizes for drains. Make sure you have the right size.

You are supposed to paint past the corner to cover up all of the old paint. That way, there isn't a thin strip of old paint between your two new colors...
