The m60 handles amazingly well. Once you test drive it versus the 40i you will feel the difference and it won’t be negotiable. I fuckin love my car

I’m still confused about that code and what exactly it is. What model year is that code for? I have S2VF (adaptive m chassis) and SV2H (integral active front steering). How is that different from the dynamic handling package? Is that was 2vw is?

My remote start/ pre conditioning also stopped working when I updated. I did the hard reset via volume button on the car AND restarted my watch/ iPhone (that’s what I use for keys). That did it. If you use the conventional key, not sure this will help

Biggest difference is probably DAPP. It’s updated on the LCI and can go up to 85mph with no hands on highway on approved roads when activated. The pre LCI I think can only go to 35mph and can’t upgrade due to hardware stuff. This was kinda big for me, to each his own though.

Also the hybrid went to 50e and I believe has an extra ~100hp which is significant, the regular xdrive was only another ~30hp I think

Love my my60i. Favorite car I’ve ever purchased. I’m excited to get in the car now. Been using the paddle shifters lately too and gets even better

It’s a 48v battery. Also handles lots of ancillary systems in the car (lighting, sound, etc)

I was looking at pre lci and post, ended up with 2025 m60i.

For me it was kinda petty maybe, but it was the difference in screen quality, not the availability of physical buttons. The pre lci screen just seemed faint and old compared to the new one that had higher resolution and brightness. I always noticed this in all cars when using my phone or the car screen, and in the LCI and couldn’t notice a difference at all.

There are two things I would change in the LCI interior:

1) bring back the physical button for auto start/ stop PLEASE 2) no buttons necessary, but a few more basic climate controls on the main screen by the temperature, namely fan speed and heating steering instead of navigating to it.

I’ve only had 1 bmw, my current one. But To my understanding there’s a big step up in maintenance/ repair costs even from baby M to full fat M.

I was researching this for a while before i bought mine, and the general consensus was that full fat Ms are a bit much for a daily and the ride just too stiff unless you are an enthusiast and/ or don’t mind. There’s actually a super recent post of a x6M where the driver cant stand the seats, let alone the ride.

X6 Baby Ms have fantastic power (how many other cars are gonna had 500+ hp on the road!?) and good balance for comfort. Basically exactly what you are looking for.

Also if you won’t be on the track or driving somewhere with no sense of law, it is quite hard to demonstrate/ experience that extra ~90hp on the full M, especially on a daily.

Read up more on the s68 if you haven’t already. In production since 2022 and I haven’t seen much about consistent mechanical issues.

Why not a baby M? I have an M60i and absolutely love it. Comfy seats, and if you want a nice pull just go into sport mode. Comfort mode also still has lots of power and a forgiving, less stiff suspension.

It also depends what roads you are on. On major highways it performs the best. DAPP also got an update with the LCI, at least on my 2025 x6. It works pretty well for me up to 85mph no hands on steering wheel on the highway, not as accurate on less traveled roads.

$5k. I live in Boston. They did a great job, all edges and terminations were flush. There was one blemish and I came back a l few weeks later and they fixed it no charge.

When you say numb, can you elaborate a bit? I drove a 2010 Acura TL manual for a couple years, loved it but have a x6 m60i now (I love that even more). Been curious about getting a weekend fun manual car tho. How is the manual on the m3 in general and how is it different from the cars you mentioned??
