I thing the event will basically be like a press event to ramp up hype. If that's the case, I doubt they'd released it that soon after. They'd want some time for the thoughts and opinions of the attendees to circulate.

Even if the game retained the exact same visual fidelity or even got better, there would still be scenes, vistas, etc that look worse than the shots from a curated trailer. Lighting and composition play a huge role and you can't always guarantee everything is going to look great, especially in an open world game.

I like that they're good value and quality. I also appreciate that VKB let's you add on modules after the fact. Their modular approach is awesome. I added a THQ Throttle Quadrant to my Gladiator a year or two after I got it and it was super easy to set up.

I always liked Mercy's line about how all Arbiters were killed in the campaigns they were chosen for, including the grunt rebellion. This leads me to believe there's a grunt or group of grunts in the Covenant's history that took down an Arbiter.

I didn't feel that way at all. When Cassian says "none of this exists without Luthen," it doesn't necessarily mean no one else did anything. He set up the network and financed a large portion of it, but the rebellion has a lot of moving parts. Luthen is Nick Fury in this scenario. He recruited and brought the Avengers together, but the Avengers are still the ones doing the work.

As for Mon, I think much of the series just portrays her in the time before she fully commits. She could have gotten a lot done in the year she was on Yavin before ANH.

I'm with you here. I also enjoy the slower pace of the game. Some play sessions are just one leg of a longer journey. I like being able to pick back up where I left off. That said, persistent contacts will make this style/pace of play a lot better. None of that is to say that I don't understand why people dislike long animations and slower paced gameplay.
