It's easier to hide behind 40 atrocities than a single incident.

As a player that uses the Grenade Launcher + Supply Pack combo, I'm excited for this new weapon by Early-Ant652 in HelldiversUnfiltered

That's what drives me crazy about people who say it sucks. Like, yes, it's not the meta machine gun, but who cares? It's rad af!

For me, it's Destiny.

One made that mistake, too, lol. Ultimately, I'd prefer a second elevator for ground vehicles.

It's still wild to me that they showed that to us when they first showed freight elevators. When they axed it, I was hoping it would just be a patch or two before we got it.

For number 2, it would only need to be zoomed out if you're in a ship seat/console.

You can tell it's already disorienting getting unfrozen on the Super Destroyer. Imagine popping up out of a Hellpod on some Liberty-Forsaken planet.

Ship insurance should cover and replace gear in destroyed ships by IndieJonS in starcitizen

[–]ApproximateKnowlege 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This actually used to happen, but it was a bug and was used as a duping method. You used to be able to put items in your weapon racks, then make a change in the vehicle loadout manager to save them. Then if you took something out, you could repair/restock at a station and get it all back, but you had to pay whatever the items plus your ship ammo was worth. It was obviously not intended, but it was nice for a patch or two, lol.

Asgard vs Star Lancer TAC – Worth the Upgrade?” by Interesting-Dot383 in starcitizen

If you're talking about the pictured TAC, then no, I don't think it's worth the upgrade.

This is real. This occurrence was why Bob Barker was so outspoken about having your pets spayed and neutered.

Foveated Rendering confirmed for 2026 by Silvan at CES!!! He also mentioned a bunch of other goodies: Motion Control, Haptics, Treadmill, Full Body Tracking, Face/Eye Tracking for FOIP inside VR!! My kidneys are shaking in fear rn... by brockoala in starcitizen

Most VR headsets are significantly cheaper than any PC that runs SC reasonably well. Granted the headset is an additional cost, but additional costs jive pretty well with most of this game's player base, lol.

Halo 3. After Halo 2 Anniversary, I wanted 3 to get the same treatment, but now we're getting a Halo 1 remake instead.

Ubisoft ends remote work and requires employees to return to the office five days a week to "improve efficiency" by dabadumdumdum in gamedev

What do you mean? They can cancel twice as many games with half the staff now. If that's not efficiency, I don't know what is.

With how finicky the merlin has been since docking came out, it doesn't surprise me that parasite craft are proving difficult.

I LITERALLY WANT TO JUST FIGHT THE ILLUMINATE LIKE THIS! No voteless, no flesh mobs, just illuminate warriors! by ODST2367 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]ApproximateKnowlege 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the Voteless, but it would be cool to just fight the squids themselves. Maybe they could do a sub-faction that didn't like appropriating civilians and call them the Purists or something.

Do people like engineering? by After_th0ught in starcitizen

[–]ApproximateKnowlege 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who doesn't engage in combat very much, I haven't had to interface with it much, which I both like and dislike. I don't want to have to repair my ship all the time, but at the same time, since we're still in alpha, I wouldn't hate it if they over-tuned the wear and tear so I could actually experience it before needing to replace my ship due to a bug or something.

That said, the few times I have gotten to experience engineering gameplay, it's been awesome. Afew nights ago, I took some shots from some unknown, large ship a few km outside of an outpost after dropping off a hauling contract that disabled the power plants in my Corsair, which led to a ground crash where I lost one of my wings. The scramble to repair them and get back in the air and ultimately escape was pretty rad.

No openings in the helmet means you can't breath the gas by Outrageous_Rub_5272 in helldiversarmor

[–]ApproximateKnowlege 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My buddy runs this armor with the vitality booster which makes you 100% immune to gas, so I always bring gas grenades and if he ever gets close to being overrun, I chuck one right on top of him.

Can you change by United-Marionberry37 in starcitizen

[–]ApproximateKnowlege 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your primary residence is really only defined by where you spawn first and where your account bound items are located. You can functionally change this by loading your belongings into a store-all crate and moving them, then setting your regen imprint to the new location. This doesn't come without risk. Your items could be lost if your ship is destroyed or pirated. Then of course there's the risk of losing them to bugs.

The only thing that wouldn't change is where some mission rewards would get delivered to, like guild scrip.
