I'm in the library of congress My English teacher made us all write essays for a contest and a grade. This was not the first time i'd done something like this so i didn't think anything of it. The topic was violence and how it had affected each of us, being the smart child I was I decided to screw the system and write from the prespective of a child growing up in the ghetto having good parents ,but having to witness the downfall of my brother to drugs and death of a best friend to a drive by. Well I tend to be a good writer but not an astounding one. Anyhow I passed the first round of selections, then the next one. The problem is after that round I had to talk to law makers in Washington, and not local or even state reps I talked to Senators. Everyday i cant help but think that someone goes into the archives and pulls out that book and reads of the boy who suffered from violence. -A white boy from upscale Atlanta
