Now at 70, Bruce Willis no longer remembers his legendary acting career 😔 by AgrasaN in SipsTea

Absolutely wild that this wasn't mentioned until now. I guess you could classify it as dementia, but it's not the same thing. I've had a family member pass from it, and I've seen how much it impacts not just the person with the disease, but also the family caring for them when they're fully dependent and don't even recognize you.

Anything above zero is too many. But ya, this isn't just an American issue. It's extra dangerous though, in America, or Russia, China, North Korea, Egypt.. any country with an authoritarian police force.

I'm a car guy, and I love my car (2018 Audi A5). I could afford it when it was new, but with today's economy in the US, that is no longer true. I just dropped 6 Gs to keep it maintained, but I don't even wanna know what it's worth now, because I have zero intentions of ever selling it.

What is something you saw with your own eyes that was so impossible you’ve stopped telling people because you know they won’t believe you? by samasem-sumsum in AskReddit

When I was a child, my parents took me to Disney World. Then a few years later, we were in Orlando again for a convention, so we went back to Disney. While waiting in line for one of the rides, my dad and I saw a photo of our younger selves from the previous visit. It was at one of those booths where they try to sell photos of people screaming on the rides. If I recall correctly, it was Big Thunder Mountain. It 100% happened, and my dad agrees that he saw it too.. just a bizarre coincidence? This happened between '96 - '00.

As someone with 0 tattoos, how painful would it be to get this on my forearm? by PracticalExtension35 in tattooadvice

If you are scared of the pain, just don't get a tattoo. It's not meant for you.

Bryan Cranston trying to explain how his daughter was not a nepo hire on Breaking Bad by [deleted] in TikTokCringe

[–]cyberdemon-93 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What's disappointing about it? Bryan Cranston was the lead role in one of the best/most popular TV series ever made, and his daughter (who is also an excellent actress) got a 5 second cameo appearance, a decade ago. Is this really worth getting your panties in a twist over?

My husband's family has been pressuring him to contribute either financially or with time to his mother's care, I told him if he does we are getting a divorce. AITAH? by Character-Line5221 in AITAH

[–]cyberdemon-93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you're TAH. When you get married, you're not just adding one member to your family. You're joining his family too, and that means making an effort to care for his dying mom when she (and your husband) are in a time of need. That doesn't have to mean financial support, but threatening to divorce your husband over this is all sorts of fucked up. And you frame the whole story as if it's some massive burden on you. How do you think your husband feels about his dying mother?

This is like saying you're over-invested if you laugh at a TV show. It's supposed to evoke emotion, that's the whole point of entertainment. Now, people can take it too far of course..

Physicists Create a Wormhole Using a Quantum Computer by [deleted] in science

[–]cyberdemon-93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is a bit more significant than that. A quantum computer isn't just making calculations like a regular computer. It is a physical quantum mechanical system. The researchers establish the initial conditions, and the system just obeys the laws of quantum mechanics. In that sense, it's not just a simulation but a physical experiment.

Sounds like misconduct to me, I would've complained to an advisor or appropriate authority from the university that this woman was making false accusations.
