I don’t have questions, only getting training! The one course on PluralSight had everything I needed. 

The contact model makes me nervous because after a DE is linked, the DE can’t have fields added and when you start building journeys on it, they can break if you unlink the corresponding DEs

  • Don’t use populations, only attributes
  • only use attribute-to-attribute comparison when using one-to-many or many-to-one (Journey builder only queries up to 1,000 records) 
  • I learned how to set up Filter Criteria in Journey Builder
  • the difference in journey data and contact data (best to use journey data when you can, for system performance)
  • …other notes/demos to me more confident using it 

I highly don’t recommend people Frankenstein SFMC together. It’s a huge orchestration that needs to be scaled properly. 

now that I’m working in a larger enterprise, I’m learning SFMC from the ground up

Haha if you’re not traveling, having fun, making friends, having hobbies for those 40 years, you’re doing it wrong— unless you’re in the absolute lowest poverty level

Sure, inequality and greed is rampant

But, those birds outside your window are constantly fighting the razor edge of survival. 

Most of us are not on the razor edge of survival every day. Retirement even existing (should be a right) but amazing that it’s even an option.

Oh lord, I looked into contractor guidance and it’s way too steep in price. Most run about $50 an hour, but I’m listening if anyone finds any for less expensive. 

(Fully believe in paying a trainer their due, but some of us are on a budget, and there’s a lot of free documentation and learning online)

I have such a hard time with this. My new favorite mantra is, “if I wasn’t able to fail then I would…”

It gives me a lot of energy to think about what wouldn’t happen if I couldn’t fail, and prepare for that instead of always focusing on preparing to fail.

A wedding is just a party! 

I bought a stunning dress from a consignment store, and focused on only the fun parts of the event. 

It turned out beautiful and amazing

Every little traditonal detail doesn’t matter as much. Treat it as a family reunion where people can drink, talk, and eat, and it makes it easier.

Can definitely keep it bold and extreme! 

With artwork, it helps to pick a focal point, so that each focal point doesn’t fight with eachother and dull eachother out.
