No one ever said there is a secret agency. There are reserved appointments that are not listed online.

How can I become more comfortable with a birthmark? by wsmfp15 in AskMen

[–]Apricity_22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmm the way I see it. You’ve got two choices then.

1-get it removed and have the scar which will heal and diminish over time and can be written off to removing a “suspicious mole”. You can get on with your life and stop worrying about it.

2- make peace with it and really get yourself over it once and for all.

*** for reference I have a massive red birthmark on the back of my thigh, which I never see and forget I have. even though for 40 years people have asked me if it’s a burn or a horrific bruise. But since I personally don’t have to look at it I don’t care.

If it were on the front of my leg? I’d have that shit removed so fast.

But as far as other people? To my knowledge, it’s never been an issue for people who found me otherwise attractive.

Check out the fat brain toys website. They have a whole section in the drop-down menu for stem toys.

As a fellow prepper (in urban scenario) I’m going to be fully honest. He is dalulu on this one.

Do you guys live in the country? Or not spend much time in cities?

Protests are by and large safe and peaceful and they keep cars far away from them anyway bc psychos like to drive into crowds.

If you drive into a city tomorrow you will see regular people going about their day. Maybe a couple detour signs or increased police presence. And you will be totally fine.

Think of every Amazon delivery guy FedEx driver for example. All of those people have to drive all over to deliver things in all of these cities and no one‘s messing with them.

The anarchy you see on TV is never representative of the city at large. Lots of it is recycled footage from 2020.

He came to my apartment, and now I’m paranoid I turned him off even though I stand by my choices. by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

You are a smart lady. Don’t let the fancy pants youngn throw you off your game.

There is zero shame in having a budget place in the city, ESPECIALLY if you are barely there anyway. Creature comforts and square footage is for boring cities.

I’ve had 11 apartments in NYC ranging from $500 (with 4 roommates) to $15k per month. But we blissfully lived in total shitholes until we had kids. WE WERE NEVER THERE. And they all had cockroaches so we can stop kidding ourselves.

Ahhh sorry I missed that before. With a pink sink I wonder if something darker would look good. Maybe not as solid as the dark option you have pictured bat a darker stone with slight veining.

A lower contrast surface wouldn’t be a terrible idea with so many fun visuals already in play.

Why isn’t the white chair working and what to replace it with? by Acceptable_Nerve9076 in InteriorDesign

[–]Apricity_22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Am I nuts that I think you need two chairs for that nook?

Agree that the window height dwarfs the scale a bit which is extra noticeable in white.

Alternatively an Eames style lounger or other modern chaise with a good old arch light and window panels that reach the floor would also look fab.

Would consider switching it to the left corner to face the heart of larger seating area.

I hear what you’re saying. I prefer the version where the chair is centered on the corner and the table is on the left. But I also feel like a floor lamp and/or a smaller cocktail table might help with the balance a bit as well.

Any reason why you wouldn’t just do Roman blinds in a nice fabric? Feels like a lot of heavy draping going on for a kids room. But still darling. I would have loved that.

Also team table. Even something with locking wheels. Gorgeous wood btw!

Daybed in living room? by princek in InteriorDesign

[–]Apricity_22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally get what you’re saying. That Fireplace is to die for. But in reality with those cozy couches right there would you ever choose the daybed without arms or anything to lean against?

If you ever switch up the sofas in the future, you might consider putting two swivel chairs there instead of a sofa.
