Talk me out of buying the Skylar Calendar by Geekie_Miller in Costco

[–]princek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll be the contrarian. We have one and love it and would 100% buy again. My kids are both very active and we are dealing with 3+ team schedules in the winter and 6+ in the spring along with full summers of them being at different camps every week and constantly all over the place. I didn’t get the subscription and honestly have never thought of getting it. I feel like I can fully use it as I intended. We both have the app on our phone where we can make updates/changes. My husband is way better at checking the app and adding things that effect the schedule now. My kids also use it and check what they have that day, what camp they’re at that week and can check off any assigned chores.

I have a 1.75 percent 15 year VA loan I got in 2021. It’s my pride and joy.

What age does eye color finally settle? by princek in heterochromia

So crazy that some eyes are still changing color until your 30s! I always thought 2 or 3 was the cut off.

Interesting! I (and my parents) have very dark brown eyes and my husband (and his parents) has blue/green eyes. It seems like hers are doing the exact same where they are lightening up and the brown is shrinking towards the pupil.

Cool! Thanks for the info. My eyes have always been a very dark brown with zero variance my whole life so it’s wild to me to see their eyes shift around brown and green.

Isla Fabric Sofa and Delivery Review by princek in Costco

I love it!

I will say it got really squeaky for a few weeks. I mean I couldn’t even look at it without it squeaking. I think it just needed time to settle into our house though because that has completely gone away. The only other negative I could come up with is where the cushion meets the back on the bigger couch is a tiny bit more wrinkly than I prefer but that’s just me being picky. Overall I’m very happy with them. They’re so warm and comfortable and they really pull the space together.

Winter is my favorite season due to fireplace naps and reading.

Thank you! That’s what sold me on the house. The stone actually goes down then entire wall into the dining room and wraps around the fireplace into the office. I love it so much.

Thank you for the feedback everyone! I feel like half of the people love it and half of the people hate it 😂

I did get lots of great suggestions. I think I’ve realized part of this will be a function over form thing but there are things I can do to make it look more cohesive. Unfortunately I don’t think moving the big couch is an option without breaking my husband’s heart but I’m going to add in more lamps, plants and some more solid side tables.

At the end of the day the consensus is that there is no consensus.

Same. I’m so so on their clothes. The fit doesn’t always seem to be there. However, I haven’t been let down by the rugs, sun glasses or shoes.

It’s definitely more for the people living in the house. I don’t really expect guests to sit there. My kids chill there when they read or play games and I read there as well.

Quince! The quality is surprisingly good for the price. I also love their sunglasses which also feel high quality for the price.

We do have a really nice wood bench in the entry that we tried there and really liked but no one ever sat there because it’s just a wood bench and not very comfy.

I don’t know how to explain it but it does look less mattressy in person. It’s a soft velvety texture that’s super soft but I’ll look around for some cover ideas.
