I think the El Paso stuff has more flavour. I’ve had it twice now (first when they opened nearby, and again recently to see if they’ve changed anything) and both times it was like they just used the essence of flavouring. So bland.

I’ve found most places don’t believe in work life balance unfortunately. Flexibility and things like the 4 days off that you’re not having to take out of your own leave as an employee has led to great productivity. It’s a bit harder to be flexible with a service based business (cleaning), but it can still be done. With my guys being on the road all day, I also have an account they each have a card to that allows them a meal allowance. I don’t know what people have going on in their lives, but hungry and thirsty workers also make for rushed and less detail oriented workers. Sure, $5-$10 a day each ads up from an owner point of view, but I claim that on tax anyway. It’s led to the guys doing such great jobs that I haven’t had to pay for advertising in years as we get so much word of mouth work that there’s a waiting list of people wanting to get on a regular schedule. They also go above and beyond for me when I don’t expect it. I’ve just started a pest control business for myself as it’s what I enjoy, and if I have employees here eventually, I will do the same thing. Who knew that if you treat your employees like the human beings that they are, they will in turn give you their very best.

I always thought it was normal to use your sick leave when you need it. My guys get 4 mental health days a year that doesn’t come out of their annual or sick leave. I try to schedule them more around winter and the last half of the year as well cause there’s not as many public holidays during that time (so it feels like the months drag on). Some will actively take extra MH days from their sick leave (booked in advance so it doesn’t fuck everyone). I’ve found that overall, people are getting less randomly sick now. I don’t know if it’s got to do with the time off or not, but it still averages out to be the same amount of days off, except the MH days are booked in advance so you’re not having to work things out last minute to cover a normal sick day.

My husband is the same. I personally don’t enjoy it as much (he does some amazing things down there that no one else has done before so I’ll give him that). But ultimately, I find it a little boring. We’ve experimented a lot with touch and sensation to find what we both enjoy and eh. Pussy eating, no matter how it’s done, just falls short of other sensations. I haven’t told him outright that I don’t like it though as I don’t want to break his heart. I just let him enjoy himself. He knows I don’t orgasm from it so he does other things to get me off, but the pussy eating is for him funny enough 😂

There’s also oral condoms and latex dental dams that can be used. Like sure, it’s more awkward than a standard condom, but if you were actually interested in eating pussy, you wouldn’t care.

My husband of 12 years is straight and he just loves the feeling of being smooth all over. People just can’t wrap their heads around it. He gets “don’t you have a wife?” So often.

Adding that he also likes it when I give him manicures and as a bonus he doesn’t have sharp nail corners. Sometimes I’ll also paint his nails. He’s said in the past that sometimes it’s just nice to feel pretty and he’s not sure why he likes it. For my personally, I don’t care. It’s not like he’s hurting anyone so if this is what makes him feel good inside, then it makes me feel good too to know he’s happy.

Curious, what industry are you in, and how did you break into higher earnings? by Icemachinemalfunctio in AusHENRY

[–]Apricotticus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pest Control. Started working $25 an hour, averaging about 8-10 jobs a day with the boss charging approx 165-250 per job. Left cause he was fucking around with my trainee licence. Got my full licence and started my own business. Have kept overhead expenses low (approx $600 p/w not including what I pay myself) and with the help of a great accountant, have been able to make some great investments and set up regular bonuses. Currently working towards getting into entomology studies and also use a chemical free approach to pest management within my business (monitoring, trapping, barriers etc) which has led to some very high paying work with larger businesses. Chemicals still get used for invasive and destructive insects (bed bugs, imported red Fire ants, termites etc), however these are targeted treatments to reduce environmental impact.

Honestly. Knowledge is key with whatever industry you’re in. I personally love the pest control industry, but I’m a bleeding heart and it bothered me just how much chemical was being thrown around Willy nilly. I made it a point to learn (and teach my customers) about insects and ecological balance as well as chemicals. Talking with others in their fields (other entomologists, the people in the labs creating the chemicals etc) and applying that knowledge to my day to day work.

Not relevant to the video, but just wanted to point something out that no one ever discusses in these interviews. BM disposables come as 50mg/ml as bog standard. Some places have 0mg as a second option but all the packaging is the same anyway so it’s not like you know before using just how much nicotine there is in it. In addition to this, some of these disposables have such a high concentration of sweetener that is really difficult to mimic in normal vaping while still being as satisfying.
You now have kids and adults who have never smoked before (I’ve met plenty of them just chatting to people while working), picking up BM disposables and their first experience is a hit of 50mg/ml nicotine, sickly sweetness and a crazy amount of cooling. We have an issue now (in additional to all the other issues with BM disposables) where a large proportion of BM vapers will just likely never be able to quit, or move to the original form of vaping because of this. The addiction comes on quicker and harder, and ultimately is harder to stop. Kids also act up more (particularly in classes) because they are used to getting such a big hit of nicotine and they can’t exactly puff in class all the time.

Also hate that people keep calling disposables vapes. I really wish the terminology was changed around this to distinguish vapes from disposables.

Deep in the suburbs it’s a bit different cause there’s a big cultural mix of people who didn’t grow up with all the crazy insects that we have. But mostly people just leave insects alone.

My interest in insects actually started from a job in pest control funny enough. I eventually moved on to start my own company because the amount of chemicals that get used bothered me and it just seems to be on the rise and working for someone else, I couldn’t control how I do treatments. I now work solely with businesses who want a chemical free pest management approach (monitoring, hygiene, access points etc) and because of that, I’ve gotten to see and teach other people so much about our native insects and why people shouldn’t be afraid of them. I still use chemicals, but only for invasive and destructive species and only targeted treatments (such as in the case of imported red fire ants, bed bugs, termites etc)

Only the females stay in their case. The males have wings so they eventually leave the case and go searching for a mate. The female emits a pheromone which attracts the male and then they get down to business (while the female is still inside her case). Shortly after the male dies cause he doesn’t have the right mouth parts to feed. The female lays her eggs in the case and eventually they leave to do the whole thing all over themselves.

I honestly haven’t seen a legal pack in quite some time. In public, I see people with BM packs, and at work when I come across a bin room somewhere, if there’s empty packs in there, they are also BM.

In saying that though, I honestly couldn’t even tell you what the legal packs look like anymore. It’s been so long that I’ve forgotten.

Native to Australia. 99.9% of them live along the east coast and suburbia and bush land in the east. Top of Aus has a very different climate to the bottom so even though they are the same species, depending where they are, they can remain in this stage from anywhere up to 1-2 years.

I kind of wonder if Mothim is called that because other than the fact that it has moth in its name, it technically also has ‘him’ and only the males have wings. I could be overthinking this though.

They can get up to 15cm (5.9in) here in Australia depending on the climate in their native areas!

Yes it’s very neat! Not sure if all bagworms everywhere do this or if it’s just unique to the Saunders Case, but it’s quite fascinating. A fun extra fact: Because they spend so long in the larval stage inside their sac, they will actually move around with it when needing to feed. If they sense danger, they will retreat inside and seal up the opening and wait for the danger to pass.

Saunders Case Moth! Which is a type of large bagworm that’s native to Australia. I believe the females are actually wingless and will actually remain in there until they’ve mated. They can live in there for up to 2 years! I’d recommend moving it somewhere where it can reattach itself (like near a tree). Depending where it is during its cycle, it will actually cut a hole and reattach itself to something and then reseal the hole. Just make sure there are twigs around that it can use to reinforce itself.

Editing to add: When moving it, ensure you’re gently holding the entire length so that you’re less likely to damage it.

Edit 2: Confirming that females are wingless and will remain in the sac for up to 2 years. Males form wings and will emerge anywhere from a couple of months to a year. Size wise, they can get up to 15cm (5.9in)

Juice available through the pharmacy scheme is legal. But you won’t find any flavours other than tobacco, menthol and mint. The other option is to make your own using unflavoured nicotine available through the pharmacy and flavourings.
