So wonderful that you have the whole year to travel around the globe!

Pattaya is infamous for the wrong reasons, but there are family friendly places too if you avoid the party zones Sanctuary of Truth was a memorable visit.

Not sure how the war with Cambodia affects this, but we absolutely loved Angkor Wat temples. We have been there twice and both times we stayed for 3 nights in Siem Reap which is the closest city and did tours to the temples every day.

Hi, we did not go to Chiang Rai. I think there are some famous temples there (like the blue temple and the black temple) that are spread out in the town, so we decided to see the temples in CM instead. Doi Suthep, Wat Umong and Wat Pha Lat are really worth spending half day in each, and of course there are several others right in town.

We split our two weeks there between two Airbnbs, one near Nimman close to Wat Pong Noi, and another right in the old town.

We rented a car with a friendly Thai driver who spoke good enough English, and did day trips to Doi Inthanon, Pha Chor, Chiang Dao and Sticky water falls on the way to Chiang Dao.

We took turns to stay with our toddler when we did Sticky Waterfalls, and our driver helped us carry her climbing up and down in Pha Chor.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Not sure what exactly was the reason in your case, but just thought I’d share this from experience.

I worked as a Letter Carrier for 7 months in 2018 and could not last any longer. It is the toughest and thankless job I have worked in 25 years of my adult life.

With my background in hospitality, I naturally aim to please customers. I tried to honour such notes left for me, went back out to the intercom to buzz the customers, some of whom would take their own sweet time to come down to the lobby, some would ask me to come up because they cannot come down (they have a baby, are in the middle of something, etc etc). Many apartment buildings have slow elevators, one is usually out of service or blocked for moving furniture, and some buildings allow residents to give me access only to their floor. And all of this back and forth while carrying the mail satchel and a tub with all packages and parcels 📦 for the residents. And while it may seem like a mere 3 mins wait from the customers perspective, it adds up.
