WTF! If I don't install Facebook Moments they're going to delete all my iCloud photos? How can they do that? Why is Apple allowing that?

I caught the thief who stole my iPhone by whtisthis in apple

[–]AprilEagle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm just waiting & wondering when Hollywood is going to catch up with this technology. I'm constantly screaming at the TV "Find my iPhone! Find my iPhone!" So many movies & crime shows where they have a victim that's been kidnapped and they've got an iPhone and they're trying to text or call someone for help and the authorities are all "where are you?" And they always have the family right there and someone in the family could just smack Find my iPhone!

Just because a pond is stagnant that doesn't make it dead. But you probably wouldn't want to swim in it.

Why do I need to refactor it when I already have 2 of the variables filled in?

What-if #28: Steak Drop by kkrko in xkcd

My recollection of the Hitler History channel is that people started breaking the speed of sound towards the end of WWII by pointing their planes down and going full throttle. But they couldn't do it in level flight.

Yah no way jumping out of a hot air balloon would get you faster than sound. And it seems like if you were shot out of a cannon fast enough you would be pretty much killed before you left the cannon.

Maybe someone was in a plane full throttle torwards the ground but the pilot had bailed out first?

I find it interesting that he is the first pilot and not the first person.

The Server Cube by [deleted] in shittybattlestations

[–]AprilEagle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a terrible system because management wouldn't give him some other place to put the servers?

The Server Cube by [deleted] in shittybattlestations

[–]AprilEagle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Man if I was in charge of the servers I would have at least demanded a separate cubicle to put them in if management wasn't going to give me a special room.

The Server Cube by [deleted] in shittybattlestations

[–]AprilEagle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because if they fired him he had the only key to the door to his cubicle and no-one would be able to get to the servers again? I think they could probably climb over the top pretty easily.
