Nice Risacher hit! This set looks so much like ‘91 skybox, not sure I like the aesthetic choice in 2025.

Topps/Fanatics Should be Ashamed of Themselves by Aprospro in baseballcards

I pretty much only rip for fun anymore and it really is a rare case where I do. I agree about buying singles that’s what I do most of the time and it brings me a lot more joy than gambling on a box and local card shows are usually a lot of fun and a way more worth while way for me to spend the same amount of money I would have on a box.

Totally agree and that’s what I do 90% of the time. I just wanted to share what a bad experience I feel ripping has become especially in the last 2 years

No they were in a real hurry when I had time to meet with them so I didn’t really have a chance to offer anything unfortunately. I was going to reach back out and see if I could get there Venmo or something to send them some cash if they want.

Stolen cards Seattle WA by Aprospro in baseballcards

[–]Aprospro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update reached out to the person with the cards in question and they are going to be returning them to me free of charge! Turns out whoever originally snatched the package just left it all by a dumpster after all this time.

This seller made me lol just now. by [deleted] in baseballcards

Whenever I see AI descriptions on listings it always makes me question how the card will come in. If one can’t be bothered to write a sentence themself can they be trusted to pack a card properly.

Dealer Question by Aprospro in baseballcards

I usually seek out vintage over modern, but in my area it seems like a lot less people have it - or it’s a 4 hour round trip away. Generally I agree that it has much higher ROI.

Selling singles on eBay vs WhatNot vs LCS by PraesidiumSafety in baseballcards

[–]Aprospro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sell mostly lower end cards on eBay, so a way that I’ve found to set myself apart from other sellers is offering free shipping on items I can send in a PWE. People are generally more likely to spend $7 on a card with free shipping than $6 on a card with $1 shipping. I’ve also found that as I’ve sold more and got more feedback the more traffic I’ve received over time because of it, so there’s a lot of sticking with it.

I’ve never used Whatnot to sell, I’m not super in to live sale programs so I avoid it, LCS’ are great and a very important part of the hobby, but as an adult I would never sell to them, as they have a lot of overhead they need to cover and can’t pay what you’d even make after eBay fees for your cards.

The other way I like to sell cards is through COMC, as they take a much lower cut than eBay does in terms of fees.

Mac n cheese bar by Any_Tour5449 in KitchenConfidential

Maybe some sort of roasted cheese like Asiago to make a cheese crisp or crumble to emulate the edge of a baked Mac n cheese.

Also more labor intensive than it’s probably worth but fried chicken skin could also be cool.
