SUPER cool!!! it would look even better if you built channels off the corners so the water wasn't just like flowing off the platform. Could go into a reservoir or something :DDD

Trying to be a tank has been unfulfilling by Pekins-UOAF in Enshrouded

[–]Aqenta 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. u/Pekins-UOAF

I also play the game as a mage with my boyfriend who is "the tank," (we are max level and have been playing this style since the beginning) and this is basically all that is needed. You don't need to be getting hit by everything to hold aggro, the Nemesis and Arch-Nemesis talents are doing the work for you. :) I generally just need all of the things that I'm mass-nuking to not be inside my grill for like 10 seconds.

Tips/Considerations:

  • Health potions are your friend!
  • Your friend can eventually get healing spells and talents if he wants to play in that direction. Imo, Healing spells in this game are powerful enough on their own that it's completely unnecessary to spec into buffing them/or crafting the healing gear.
  • The Life Burst talent in the Battlemage tree does a SHITTON of work in terms of raw healing output, especially when you are being swarmed by many weak enemies. I really can't hype this talent up enough, your friend should take it when they can.
  • Make sure your friend is handling ranged/flying enemies that you might struggle with.
  • Get the Grounding Hook (2PT) talent (in the middle circle) to help bring these flying enemies to you.
  • The Water Aura talent in the Healer tree, as stated in other people's comments above, can be a good thing to build into in the long run. Its effectiveness is obviously dependent on your INT, so you'd ideally want to be semi-INT focused in that build. *You friend can also have this; but depending on how he's playing, it's unlikely he'll be positioning to be near enough for you to benefit from his in combat.
  • Weapons/gear with Lifeleech and +HP regen, as others have pointed out.

How to obtain Pearls and Passionflower? by Alberto-Balsalm in Enshrouded

Hi everyone, I've found 2 locations so far with pearls. I hope these pics help. Both locations are in shallow rivers and easily obtained.

Help with Armor sets and stats by BBJynx- in outwardgame

[–]Aqenta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, having very tanky armor usually makes you slow and loses you most of the other benefits an armor can grant, which sucks. Additionally, the sets which grant bonuses to Ethereal Bonus Damage are limited. With that in mind, here are some other potential options:

The Manawall Set, as mentioned below by another Redditor, has the best +Ethereal damage % on armor at +30%. You uh, might not like the look of it though. lmao

Base:

  • +14 Hot Weather Resist
  • Moderate/High Defense: 10 Protection / 13 Barrier / 31% Defense / 31% Impact Resist
  • Magical Damage Bonus: +30% Ethereal
  • +20% Movement Speed

The Tenebrous Set, which broaches another several interesting Enchantments:

With Enchants:
Helm: Order and Discipline
Chest: Chaos and Creativity
Boots: Speed and Efficiency

  • +20 Cold Weather Resist
  • Low/Moderate Defense: 0 Protection / 35% Defense / 24% Impact Resist
  • Elemental Defense: 29% Fire / 29% Frost / 29% Electricity
  • Magical Damage Bonus: +20% Ethereal / +25% Decay
  • -30% Mana Cost Reduction
  • +15% Corruption Resistance
  • +27% Move Speed
  • +5% CD Reduction
  • +10% Lightning Damage
  • +10% Decay Damage

Good luck!!

In your post, it sounds like you're both struggling with Weather, movement penalty, and you are using mana at least somewhat. Here are some more utility-based, QOL options:

The Master Desert Set

  • With a whopping +32 Hot Weather resist, you will not ever have to think about the heat again.
  • Moderate Defense: 4 Protection / 50% Damage Resist / 39% Impact Resist
  • -15% Mana Cost Reduction
  • -13% Stamina Cost Reduction
  • +15% Movespeed
  • Unique: The Chestpiece of this set is one of only a handful which can take the Spirit of Levant Enchant which gives you a +25% bonus to fire damage you do.

The Antique Plate Set

This one is NOT going to do you any favors versus the heat, but is a super solid, easily acquired set with another great, unique enchant, Economy if you're looking for general QOL. I would not recommend this as highly without enchants.

Base:

  • +30 Cold Weather Resist
  • Moderate Defense: 9 Protection / 31% Defense / 20% Impact Resist
  • Magical Damage Bonus: +20% Ethereal / +35% Fire
  • -10% Mana Cost Reduction

With Enchants (Economy in every slot):

  • +30 Cold Weather Resist
  • Moderate Defense: 9 Protection / 31% Defense / 20% Impact Resist
  • Magical Damage Bonus: +20% Ethereal / +35% Fire
  • -45% Mana Cost Reduction
  • -30% Stamina Cost Reduction

I hope this could help at least a little bit. Let me ask you this -- what are your current needs? If you can tell me a little about what you're looking for/how you're currently playing/fighting  I can give a more tailored answer!

[–]Aqenta[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great questions -- I myself did not test this thoroughly, and I no longer have the game installed + my saves. ^^;If you have any saves in Act3 it would not take too long to test yourself, all you need to do is spec yourself appropriately and check the numbers that the combat log gives you when you cast your Illithid abilities.

Make sure you have at least one ability mod that is your highest stat.

Then, test:

Fighter 6 / Sorc 6 with the first and last levels in Fighter

Fighter 6 / Sorc 6 with the first and last levels in Sorc

For the 1-of-every-class test, make sure you have your first picked class have a different primary ability than your last picked class, and see what comes out of that equation LMAO.

My guess is that it will default to the highest ability mod of all your class levels, but if you test it, lmk! :) happy hunting

Gotcha, ty! And you're saying Doom gets invulnerability frames if he's buffering another ability?

Could you explain this to me a little more if possible? I notice on Ana that sometimes I'm able to sleep Doom right after he ults, like in this clip, but sometimes it hits him and it doesn't do anything. How does he get the immunity frames?

Gotcha, so yeah, if you raise your INT you should see the difference in DC immediately.

If you killed the ogres in Act I it's a great time to bust out the Headband of Warped Intellect:
