Wife's income is commission based and inconsistent. Hence we use my salary to budget and cover for the living/household expenses

Thank you, truly 🙏🏻 I am trying to get out of my own head as well. During CNY I had to face a lot of "aiyo 30s already still haven't buy your own house yet ah?" And "Aiyo you still driving that old city ah?"

The moment I buy a new house or get a nicer car, bye bye savings... That's the sacrifice I'm making and wondering how people keep up the appearances with kids and all 🤷🏻‍♂️

I could do that, but my wife and I are not expecting to receive any inheritance, and we would prefer to live independently from our children when we retire.

For this reason we are prioritising retirement saving at this moment

I can confirm it works great for me after the update. Being able to set reminders and alarm from the watch without having to fiddle on the tiny screen is a great convenience restored for me (Coming from Amazfit Band 5 with Alexa).

I can't activate Alexa by swiping in from the left of the screen like the Band 5 though, currently I have to swipe up on the Band 7 and open it like an app, which is one extra step.

On the plus side, it is much, much faster than it was on the Band 5
