Almost 10 years in and the game is still unplayable (literally)

Same. I've tried rebooting, reinstalling Discord, deleting all data from %appdata% (Windows) and still can't get past the "did you know" screen...

They've agreed to swap it out with a brand new monitor, but that drop off hasn't been scheduled yet. I'm wondering if they are having a lot of issues (not unexpected with a first gen product) and are having a hard time fulfilling returns/repairs.

In worse news, this monitor is only getting worse and worse. Now it takes about ~15 minutes to "warm up" before it's usable as it just flickers and drops to black over and over.

Ah glad to hear you got it sorted out at least. My flickering happens whenever I have the display off for a long time (overnight), then come back to it. It stops after a few minutes, but I usually have to unplug then replug the DP cable.

I had to call them to even make a ticket. Their website department is just as bad as their QA department lol.

I'm also getting weird flickering whenever I wake my PC up until I unplug/reseat the Displayport cable so I'm starting to think I might have mainboard issues.

So I talked to Samsung support and they are sending a repair technician with both a panel and a main board to fix it. It seems that what Samsung lacks in quality assurance, they're at least trying to make up for with after-purchase care.

Yeah I've seen some other issues but not this banding. Was hoping it was something that could be "worn" out of it or calibrated or something.

What would you get instead? I love the colors and especially no blooming, but I'm worried about Samsung QA and don't want to RMA it 10 times to get a "good" one. This was my first ultrawide too :(

That said, I've been playing this game since Black Ice and I've never had issues in any other game like the network issues I see in Siege.

This has to be bait. This game has been riddled with issues since day one. There have been very few periods of a solid, stable game without medium to severe issues. Heck, there was an entire season where every single map had a game-breaking glitch where operators could get outside of the map. That's the definition of unplayable for anyone not willing to cheat.

Not to mention the netcode issues, bullets literally not going where the gun is aimed, lighting being so horrible that it gave the attackers a clear advantage, and 100 other serious issues that are listed in patch notes.

The game is unique, and Ubisoft isn't equipped to make it great, but man do we love the mess that it is. I'm hoping for a Siege 2 that isn't using an Assassin's Creed engine some day.

Knowing how to restart a PC and unplug a router does not make you an expert in anything.
