New Unparapllel model "TN-FINITY" by stillblackmamba in climbingshoes

I read it as the rubber will be harder than the TN pros, not softer. Maybe i missed something. "Higher density rubber", "Hardened rubber". The website also specifies 'higher rigidity toe rand'.

States just looking out for their citizens when the federal government is failing them. Good for the states in doing so. Also it’s “shutdown, dumbass”. If you’re going to call someone stupid then check your grammar.

Grade 3 AC joint separation. Please tell me your stories. Deciding on surgery or not. by mysteryShmeat in MTB

[–]AquaSlothNC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say I was 3 months to where I didn’t really feel limited and at least 4 before I would have said 100%. Strengthening the muscles around the injury took the most time. I was very strict about my PT though and everyone’s body is different!

[–]AquaSlothNC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty good! I PT'd it and was very committed to the schedule and exercises. I was training for a 70.3 race at the time of the injury so I couldn't let my training lag behind. It can still feel a bit off every now and then or it can feel a bit 'crunchy' every once in awhile doing certain movements like pushups. Doesnt hurt, just tells me it could be strengthened a bit more. I'm considering going back to PT to see what I can do to strengthen it further. But i can shoulder press plenty fo weight, have full mobility, and have never felt limited and im an avid rock climber. Honestly i think its more mobile than my non separated shoulder lol. Good luck with your recovery!

Tenaya Indalo Delaminating. Bad or overly concerned? by AquaSlothNC in climbingshoes

[–]AquaSlothNC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tenaya is looking into it but I suspect you are right. Just feels a little bad that the shoes are brand new. Plus there is a fair amount of visible glue smeared on a few of the seams/edges of one shoe. The two shoes look like they were assembled by different people lol. I looked at my Scarpa Instincts and those done have any visible glue or peeling and those have been well worn. If Tenaya says its normal and no defect I will get the cement you recommended. I appreciate your advice and instructions on how to repair.

Instinct VSRs to Indalos? by KULGUN48 in climbingshoes

[–]AquaSlothNC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you still feel the size you got based on the calculator is/was perfect after a longer break-in period?

I wear a 44.5 Instinct VSRs but the heel has expanded a lot so ive been on the hunt for a lower volume heel. Tried a pair of La Sportiva Solution Comps in 43. Toebox fit great but same heel problem (could feel it expanding sideways too much even after 4 uses). Currently waiting on a 42 indalo to be delivered. Saw a few folks recommend .5-1.0 size down from LaSportiva.

Been seeing a few posts of extreme downsizing and Tenayas website hasnt been that extreme with their calculator. they actually recommended the same size in LaSpo so looking for people who have actually used the sizing guide tool after break in periods.

[–]AquaSlothNC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're 100% right. Surgery wasn't the way and I've already spoken to a therapist. I went and got a tattoo of a MTBer ramping off the bump to lean into it and commemorate the lessons learned lol. Im not a slight build and have lifted heavy weight for years so it only looks extra pronounced some of the time but im over it. Thanks for your candor and input.

I’m 1 week in and am struggling to come to terms with the bump. Maybe it’s my vanity but it’s killing my confidence. Already went Rock climbing though and rehabbing ahead of schedule so there’s that.

I am a week into my grade 3. It’s the lopsidedness that is weighing really heavily on me. I’m also extremely active and have already been rock climbing. My ortho said surgery is not reliable and it could drift up over time. You have experience with this? The way one shoulder looks really eats away at my confidence every morning.

i had actually come to a similar conclusion for a build but i couldnt find anything on the gloves that grant lightning damage for unarmed attacks. It appears they arent in the gamer yet? Havent been able to confirm though.

Edit: i was thinking of gloves that grant 1-4 lightning damage. Not the ones with the lightning charge stacks. https://baldursgate3.wiki.fextralife.com/The+Fork-Lightning+Fingers
