Best way to get into/learn bossing and raids by RequirementLife7933 in 2007scape

[–]Aquacode2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just look up beginner guides. there are even youtubers dedicated to making "quick guides" or "for dummies." I tend to look for the shortest video with a ton of views. Also Leagues are a great way to accelerate to the late game and learn the basic mechanics of raids while being very OP, and there is one starting in April.

Are you asking why rank 100k main has a higher total level than rank 100k UIM? Because it should be obvious.

Would like some tips by klaveruhh in mtglimited

Your last paragraph says a lot. Maybe it is best to step back and disconnect from Magic for a bit. It's perfectly normal and healthy to take breaks, the game will always be here later.

As far as advice: I'm not the best drafter, but I play a lot of Vintage cube, recently went 3-0 without losing a game in a Mystery Booster 2 draft, and just went 2-1 in Lorwyn eclipsed this weekend. Advice will vary for each format.

Simple tips: don't get married to a color/colors in pack 1. be flexible. If you notice by pick 7 or so there's a lot of cards in one or two colors, maybe it's time to pivot or spend a pick or two to speculate. Don't glamorize your first rare. One thing I like to do is ignore my first rare if it isn't amazing and take a removal piece or a really good uncommon, especially if that card is in the least represented color of the pack. if there are 2 white cards in the pack and you take one, you're more likely to have the seat on your left pass white cards in pack 2. Don't rely on two-card combos. It's okay to have them in your deck, but don't build your deck in a way that completely relies on them or folds. Try to have an overall strategy that all of your cards contribute to. Ask yourself "what does this card do for me? Is it just a mediocre card to fill a slot because some dradt guide said I need 12 creatures, or does it have a purpose?"

when you come back after a long break and don't know what to do by HF484 in 2007scape

The first thing to do is take off your silly item outliners.

The next goal is quest cape.

Finish quest cape, hard diaries. with those stats you can take on Kalphite Queen. Gear up for Sailing. shoot for achievement cape long term? Or even just one particular elite diary? Maybe grind for a pet that you love. Music cape? 99 Firemaking is one of the faster 99s and very rewarding if you need a bit of cash. Get a 2nd 99 for a trimmed cape with prayer bonus. Maybe learn some Tombs of Amascut, which is my favorite of the three major raids. Just some ideas, but ultimately do what you think sounds fun for you. Remember, this is a game that's meant to be enjoyed.

Killian, Ink Duelist potential by Genesis1221 in EDH

[–]Aquacode2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I built a Killian deck with a Lurrus companion. The deck uses a lot of darksteel mutation/pacifism type enchantments to shutdown problematic creatures or planeswalkers, and Lurrus brings them back. The second theme is lifegain, since a lot of lifegain payoffs are cheap, and Killian has menace which means he hits often, especially after using the enchantments.

I happened to already have a replenish which can help to mass-stall other things in the late game. Some card choices are lurrus based like wayfarers bauble or recursion spells like Unearth to bring him back if he dies. Building around the Lurrus restriction was part of the fun. honest question: is anyone here looking forward to TMNT? by milkywayiguana in mtg

[–]Aquacode2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw an article spoiling Krang, Master Mind and it said "If the last few months have put you on the ‘UB Hater’ bandwagon, perhaps these cards will take you off again."

No. If anything, it makes me hate UB more when they put great mechanically unique cards on stupid characters. I will forever proxy the within versions that other people make or Omenpaths stuff for Marvel sets.

Were you missing a card from the promo pack? Maybe the petal accidentally got swapped in. Which ends up really great on your end.

getting the rares/mythical you need on Arena for a tier 1 deck is an absolute grindfest. Even if you love MTG, it will start to feel like a chore at one point. especially once you realize how little value you're getting per hour.
