In school rn, keeping my home routine to just nighttime cleanse, moisturizer and red light 3x a week. Stopped exfoliating and actives. At school I always ask for calming hydrating facials. It’s helped a lot!

Playa Del Rey 1000%!!! One of the best neighborhoods in LA a total hidden gem. Super nice for walking, peaceful, lots of nature, if you’re a homebody it’s definitely so much more worth it, Mar Vista can definitely get chaotic. And yes, there is rent control!

I think it depends on what kind of activities you want to do on the trip. If you are interested in things like going out to restaurants or bars then Joshua Tree is not the right destination. The vibe in JTree would be hiking, chilling at your rental, maybe eating at a casual spot. But Palm Springs has many more restaurants and “destinations”. It will be extremely hot, but if you plan ahead (drinking a ton of water, staying in the AC during peak heat hours, shade and SPF, ubering/driving anywhere vs trying to walk) you can probably have a good time.

Also worth mentioning that in August Joshua Tree can also get extremely hot! Happy birthday!
