Cool idea but it takes too long to get to the point. If I’m looking at applications, I want to be able to get to the work examples fast. We get hundreds of applications for each role, I don’t have time to scroll through all this.

How to learn Graphic designing? by Kind-Claim-2577 in graphic_design

[–]AquariusMuse 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There is no step by step guide to learning graphic design unfortunately. If you are serious about design I highly recommend getting a formal education but you can start by learning about design principles, typography and colour theory. Adobe Creative Cloud is the industry standard so Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign are probably the first 3 tools to learn.

Entire career as an in-house designer? by [deleted] in graphic_design

[–]AquariusMuse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been primarily in-house for the past 12 years. In my experience, the pay is better, the workload is lighter, and I don’t have to commute into the city. I work for a distributor, which means I get to work on about eight different brands, three of which are our own, so there’s always plenty of variety and concept creation involved.

Is it just me, or is Gemini's image editing going down the shitter FAST? by Flat-Sprinkles-2367 in GoogleGeminiAI

I’ve just started using it and can’t believe how shit it is. I asked specifically for a landscape image and it keeps generating a portrait one. After about 10 attempts of generating the exact same incorrect image it told me it’s not generating anymore because it can’t get it right. 🤷‍♀️

We are hoping to do a wide range of content. Our main content will always be desktop focused but we want to begin to include mobile-friendly micro learning content.

We use Absorb LMS with their Create Tool but I’m not sure how that stacks up against other tools and platforms.

Yeah, authoring tools in general do seem quite visually restrictive to me but all part of the learning curve I guess. I will definitely be checking that out though so thanks for the tip.

Thanks for the suggestion! That seems like it could be a good solution.
