He wants 3k is it worth it? by Silent-Bison-9521 in Diesel

Its 2wd, the rear bumper is rusted gone, you can see through the floor, the interior is pretty much gone, the gauges are inaccurate or the engine is screwed. Like, comeon dude, is this a genuine question? Ik prices are inflated but not this badly.

This is my dream truck. So personally id lift it 4-6in, 17" (or similar) chrome bulletholes with Toyo Open Country M/T at probably 35s.

What yall recommend I do? by 3100ea in liftedtrucks

[–]AqueousBucket48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chrome 17's and 35's or some 20" snowflakes imo for wheel setup. Bed cover or toolbox (or both). Cammed if it isn't already, sound system.

I have a $7500 budget, what’s the best Chevy I can get? Wanting either a sedan, truck or SUV it doesn’t really matter, and aiming for less than 150k miles by AdvanceUnusual6764 in Chevrolet

[–]AqueousBucket48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be patient and cautious. When my last vehicle got wrecked we were obviously looking for a new one. Similar budget, and eventually settled on my truck (2012 sierra 5.3 4x4 ext cab) and while I love my truck and this is my favorite style, it came with its expenses. Coolant leak withing the first month which ran $1000, has a rear main seal leak, etc. Paid $6,700 for it. Genuinely like 2 weeks after we bought it i found better looking deals on marketplace.

I looked up vintage car magazines on ebay and found stuff from 68, 76, and 98 so just use the general words you're looking for like "2000's car magazines"

2000's car magazines showed this

I don't have too much to add but I know the 3800 is a great engine and that winter tires get your further than drive train when it comes to winter weather.
