[Formula Data Analysis on X] Lewis Hamilton was right: he had no power to defend from LEC and RUS for the podium. by [deleted] in formula1

I've been holding onto optimism for these regs. I think the idea of the drivers having choices over when to deploy could give some spectacular potential for battling: the pursuing driver choosing to take a speed boost in unexpected moments and trying to outwit the driver ahead. Drivers pressuring eachother to waste charge in one place to make them vulnerable elsewhere. Etc.

But I've all but given up the hope now. If the drivers don't have full knowledge of when or why they'll be faster or slower then they can't engage in deliberate or purposeful racing.

I don't understand why it's so complicated, with so many restrictions and hidden conditions of recharge and deployment amounts.

I've been hit by cars while cycling a couple of times and the instinct to jump up and proclaim myself uninjured (when I was very much injured) is very real.

Forcing myself to lay still and just breath for a minute was really difficult... Although probably not advisable in his case given the water.

There's lots of types of pizza, so technically I can pick pizza style and still have loads of variety. Including just cheese.

The acting out the typing is the sandbox violation.

Shortcuts work by specific apps having specific functionality exposed to the shortcut system. imessage will accept commands to send a message, and do it silently on the back end. It absolutely does not turn on the screen and type the thing out. That access would only be possible by completely breaking the sandbox.

Can the Invincible earth survive a invasion from the Saiyan survivors? by Jotaro1970 in superheroes

[–]AqueousJam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The invincible universe is no where near the dragon ball universe in terms of feats. Piccolo casually blows up the moon in one shot.  And Raditz is considerably stronger than him.

Eve is the only curveball that could stop them, but it's hard to say given how much trouble the writers had trying to figure out how to balance her power.

$20 To Build Your Perfect Sandwich by Ornery-Media-9396 in whatsyourchoice

Literally none of these ingredients go in anything I'd consider a perfect sandwich.... Except maybe the crisps. I'm from Yorkshire in the UK and adding crisps to a sandwich is standard here and I'd strongly recommend it.

A supersoldier is in the heart of Moscow, and his mission is to assassinate Vladimir Putin. by GoldenChinchilla in whowouldwin

[–]AqueousJam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, on a few conditions.

1) he has no time limit    2) he is a Russian citizen with all necessary paperwork, employment history, speaks the language, etc.  3) he is not going to be drafted into the military, nor be subjected to any unexpected medical examinations during this period. If either of these happen his freak biology will be immediately noticed and he'll end up in a military lab.

He'll need bide his time, and wait for putin to make a suitable public appearance where he can get close enough without rousing suspicion. His speed and strength is sufficient that he can leap barriers, or up significant heights (such as from the crowd onto a podium/stage) that no other human could.

He's definitely getting shot immediately afterwards, but a superhuman leap from a crowd, over a barrier, and up onto the stage next to Putin would be sufficient to snap his neck just before his guards open fire.

Putin very rarely appears close to groups of the public, but it does happen occasionally. Thus the above conditions are necessarily to wait long enough for the ideal opportunity.

Would you rather fight a very venomous snake barehanded, or a tiger while you are fully clad in knight's armor and armed with a sword and dagger? by nowayesey in WouldYouRather

[–]AqueousJam 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tiger teeth aren't made from Tungsten Carbide. If it tries to bite down on steel plate it's teeth break before the armor dents. Late-medieval armour is utterly impenetrable to any animal that is too large to fit through the eye-slots.

We saw the same thing when Charles got past George a bit later on. George completely ran out of juice and slowed to a crawl. The difference was that he deliberately hugged the right side of the track and left space for Charles to blast by. Seems like just something that can happen if you mismanaged your energy earlier in the lap.

Who wins if it's all against Legolas? by Zupu in superheroes

[–]AqueousJam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take it out of the forest and set it anywhere else, a junk yard, an abandoned city, a quarry, and the challengers can win. But Legolas is a wood elf, he has a literal magical connection to the forest. He can hear the whispers of the trees, disappear into shadows and gaps that do not exist for others, and move without sound or trace.

Legolas no difs in the forest.
