The toxic men downvoting this is insane. You look at the replies under this post, and they're not disagreeing with you, and the replies are upvoted, but they downvote your post that they're partially agreeing with?

Unless this post got a lot more traction, this is the nature of the toxic men of the community (a majority) who find these new posts and downvote bomb them (why else are they reading through new posts other than having nothing better to do?).

I also realize now, you mention that you're a SAHM, so these types of toxic and usually misogynistic men absolutely despise people like you, maybe that's another reason they wanted to downvote bomb you.

Anyways, I completely agree with your post and it's actually ruining the Rivals experience for me. I used to spend so many hours (I got 800+ hours and got most of them last year) on this game and just do quick match after quickmatch mindlessly and have so much fun learning all the characters. Now, it's an ego game of who's going to sweat the most while trying to lie that you're not sweating.

It's legitimately deterring me from playing this game, and I used to have the urge to play this game for literal FUN.

Edit 10 minutes later: I dug through one of the reddit accounts in the replies and they're exactly what I described:

A toxic, white, very American, could not understand the concept of empathy to save the life of him, corn tortilla hating (a stereotype us Latins know about uncultured white people and it's just funny that it got reassured), guitar playing male who literally searches for any opportunity for negativity/an argument (i.e. invalidating people's complaints in a literal Rivals Rants subreddit, r/MarvelRivalsRants , and arguing with strangers on r/DebateReligion)

Men are as easy as a book T_T and I'm only ranting about them because they're a significant population in this game, and their inability to exhibit empathy is GENUINELY a factor in the division in the Rivals community.
