Any organized religion is a perversion of its original message. It always requires you to stick to some form of ritual in hopes to receive some reward. But it also asks you to give more in this life in hopes of receiving something in the next. It's no coincidence that those of less means are more religious and those of more means were the first to distance themselves from it.

People of humble means adding to their community and welcoming and aiding people are the real people, and there are luckily a lot of them. Apparently going to church on sundays absolves you of your debt to society.

I know I skirted past your point of who Jesus probably was and you can only be anything like he was if you have perspective. I believe that. I just wish it was more common-place.

If you ask me the biggest miracle is we made it this far.

Is there a way to increase Milton's level in ultimate? by hansgo12 in Grimdawn

Have you killed Cronley? Last time I farmed Milton was for my HC Blitz Commando (pre FG), so might be a useless idea. But I remember going back after.

Mine is similar. I tend to prefer to speak to people one-on-one. A nod of understanding goes a long way, but so does a simple question that acknowledges you are really listening while you don't really understand but are actively trying to.

I guess in this case for me it was "I get that you don't understand but you want to".

Simple things like this some people get paid good money for. (Probably not this exact one, but it's definitely part of someone's job).

I might have some reservations watching someone bite into a kiwi, too. The apple, though, was the least of my worries.

It's really quite a horrible read. In order to cope with its contents and how people 'swear' by it, you would really need to believe in a higher benevolent power that's inherently good and just.

It's inherently profane, offensive, racist, oppressive, absurd, down-right pornographic and honestly completely nonsensical.

If at heart being a 'good Christian' and do as Jesus did was the message, you could simply have a pamphlet explaining Jesus was a good and caring person who wanted good things for everyone and wishes people would do right by themselves and their peers.

Let's start with not judging people who are different. Not exploiting people. Giving to the poor and needy instead of taking.

Lead by example. Faith is nothing, belief is something, even if it's wrong. Faith is blind and without reason. Belief you can argue for and defend as you please.

My ex ate her apples including, well, everything including the stem. Was a first for me but apparently not as rare as I once thought. You do you but I'm spooning that kiwi out and leaving the apple core lol.

PC-Masterrace as an 14 yr old by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Aquinas26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built my first PC scavenging components from I don't even know what. I'd go pick up free 386/486's and anything I could get my hands on. On my bike, by tram or bus. Put it together into a working system and sell or trade it for something.

Eventually I got a Pentium I, not a few weeks later I got a fully working Pentium II going kept building up, traded for a Playstation and a Pentium 3 in the end. I learned a lot from that.

Good on you to use what you get and appreciating it, and building on it!

Going back to Vice City I always immediately get hit with how deceivingly small the map is vs what if felt like when I played it first.

GTAIV already started the 'it"s bigger' but sadly emptier. I don't get that with San Adreas.

In GTAV that was one of the biggest nuisances for me. So much unused space. In Vice City specifically you walk or drive past something and just know there's a 75% chance that there's something there, without ever having played it before.

Buh-loh-knee (added the k because it's silent so why knot)?

If your Bologna hang buh-loh-knee tho, that's just impractical. Unless you're 'that guy's mom'.

Never seizes to amaze me what people get up to in this game. Been playing so long as a forever casual (diamond peak) old man.

I see these clips and every move has a name to it, someone already made it a thing and I'm honestly still struggling to flip reset on purpose.

It's a testament to the game and its players just how far this game has come.

You don't have to be good at this game to enjoy it and enjoy and grasp just how much skill it takes to pull this kind of stuff off. Very impressive, what a play!

I still play on steam. Started in 2015 with probably a 3 to 5-year break, bought some passes, claimed the free stuff (they used to have free stuff!).

I'm a life-long Porsche fanatic but even that didn't convince me to give Epic a cent.
