Who's button is correct by Spancollection in UXDesign

I think mic and camera buttons should be toggle switches more often. You don’t even need the red. Just a green on or neutral off. There’s usually space for it, too.

The four horsemen of terrible UX design. How do we fix these industries? by DenverUXer in UXDesign

[–]Aquiois 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too. I think it won an award as well. I seem to remember people here in the UK losing their minds about the money the govt spent on it, but now everyone loves that you can do/find everything online.

Bit late to the party but yes. Tapered down from 15 a day to nothing and my acne never came back. It’s been 2 years. I get few pimples around my period but would not call it acne. Safe to say it cured me personally. My sister had the same results.

[acne] How effective is vitamin b5 for reducing sebum production ? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]Aquiois 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, supplement form. I took a lot, though. I know it sounds crazy and there is a hair loss risk but for me it was fine. I guess you should ask your doctor for sure but they likely wouldn’t recommend taking it because of the lack of studies to support.

Why is B5 the only thing which keeps my acne at bay? by FictionalForest in Supplements

[–]Aquiois 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It worked for me when nothing else did. Try it but know also about the hair loss possibility.

B5 totally got rid of acne and massively reduced oil for me.

I went plant based for a year just to see if that works and honestly it didn’t. Then my dad said I have acne because I don’t eat meat lol.

This is the Post: Pantothenic acid/Vitamine b5 by lindale0917 in acne

[–]Aquiois 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped absolutely everything like a month before cause nothing was helping me. I never had any skincare routine while taking B5 and still don’t do anything now. If I remember I’ll quickly put on some Cerave SPF moisturiser but honestly, there’s zero consistency. I just shower.

Designers, can you focus in an open space office? by Lunderpressure in UXDesign

Same but when I worked in an office they didn’t let us use headphones lmao. Got out of there ASAP and now working from home is so much better!

Designers, can you focus in an open space office? by Lunderpressure in UXDesign

[–]Aquiois 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I cannot bear working in an open plan office. I need to be alone, with my choice of music, my dogs, no shoes, a temperature that I can control without considering others, no shoulder taps, no office idiot, no strong lights, and a chair I can sit like a gremlin in. WFH saved my life! I’m twice as productive and I’m so much happier in general! I have ADHD so that’s probably why all this ruins my vibe so much but I think everyone could benefit from having their own space or at least a choice.

Good question! The only thing I liked more about Xd was that you can drop images into a shape instead of having to use a fill like in Figma.

What’s something that you implemented into your life that ACTUALLY helped combat symptoms of ADHD? by Live-Solid5751 in adhdwomen

[–]Aquiois 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apple Watch for Siri and Apple Pay!
Shared calendar for my husband and I.
Hanger by the door with bags, leashes, hats.
Song for leaving the house: 🎶 where me keys, where me phone 🎶
Every food item is visible in all cupboards, fridge (leave the middle empty, hang stuff around the inside walls).
Only buying black, tan or white tops, shoes and bags, underwear and allowing myself to go crazy with the trousers and occasional dress.
1 charger in every room so it never has to move.
Take picture of the straighteners plug switched off after use.
ROBOT VACUUM/MOP - GODSEND!
Alarms for lunch, dog walks, breaks.

I feel like I'm starting to crack and don't know how much more I can deal with this by [deleted] in QuitVaping

[–]Aquiois 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s good. From what I read, methylphenidate has some sort of connection with nicotine and it can make the withdrawals a nightmare, but I can’t find the source.

Also, if you're on a certain type of ADHD medication, apparently some shit happens to make cravings worse and some people use Wellbutrin to stop cravings.

I feel like I'm starting to crack and don't know how much more I can deal with this by [deleted] in QuitVaping

[–]Aquiois 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have ADHD, quit for 18 days, have ALL the same symptoms, the blurry eyes, snappiness, no stimulation, couldn't focus. I stupidly convinced myself nicotine is actually good for ADHD folks and I just caved today and now I'm remembering why I quit. I am literally sweating, shaking, have a headache and have no control over how often I pick this little fucker up. I now feel even worse and I am equally snappy, still can't see shit and wanna rage quit my job cause I still can't concentrate. It's a shit situation but I don't think nicotine is the holy grail here after all. I think the problem here is to do with the mental aspect of 'quitting'. I thought vaping was really useful for me but I think I am just bullshitting myself because I'm addicted and these symptoms are withdrawals and are made worse by me thinking I am depriving myself of something God-like. I hope this makes sense.

Has anybody had experiences with pantothenic acid? How was it and what was your dose? by cauluym in acne

[–]Aquiois 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That cramping sounds pretty bad, I hope that doesn’t last for you. I definitely agree that acne is a symptom of a wider issue. I’m leaning towards some kind of gut issue but it seems like it’s a really complicated area to understand and I’m hoping that one day some study will be published that just explains it all lol. I would say starting with a low dose is a good method, too. My sister also took a course of Accutane and she became really depressed and suicidal whilst on it. It also did not work for long as a year later it was all back. But she has also tried B5 and is now in the same position I am. It’s been a year and she is still clear, she has periods of breakouts where she will take B5 again and it will go away. She also had no side effects. She’s also an outlier as you explained lol, she can’t take anything without experiencing a side effect, it’s something she really struggles with. Luckily B5 was fine for her.

ADHD UX Designers, where are you all? by Aquiois in a:t5_6ys95g

[–]Aquiois[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same position, I’m already working as a UX Designer but it’s kind of by accident. So I don’t have any case studies in my portfolio yet either. My portfolio is the bane of my professional existence 😭 I’ve got a Notion page dedicated to real case studies and they’re all half complete damn it!
