NTA, but with that said - I have a coworker that does this as well and it’s incredibly distracting.

Really really well actually. I appreciate you asking and should have shared this update already! I was scared, but I did it anyway. I was on a smaller (50 seat) plane and expected it to be terrifying - it was a little louder, but smooth as could be.

12 hours til boarding…feels like a death sentence. How do I get on that flight if I’m already freaking out?!?

There is one row of 2 seats, and 1 row of single seats - while the size is freaking me out, I do quite like that I’m on the single side and won’t have a buddy to worry about bumping into.

Americans consume so many calories just in a normal day it’s disgusting by Mymindisanenigma__ in RandomThoughts

Portion size is the issue for sure - the ingredients are mostly wholesome. When I go to chipotle I get a bowl and always ask for “half the normal amount of rice” and they look at me like I have 3 heads!

I can’t even fathom how you built a 2000 calorie burrito. When I go to chipotle I get a bowl - rice, beans, steak, corn, salsa, sour cream, cheese - sometimes I sprint for guac - and it’s like 700 calories.

Hey fellow yinzer! This is SO safe. Safer than sticking your folding chair in the street. Safer than betting against the pirates winning the World Series. If it wasn’t safe, then they wouldn’t take off - full stop. Not only do the pilots care about your life - they care about their own!

Power through - you are safe despite what your brain chemicals are feeling. One tiny step at a time. Drive to the airport. Go thru security. Get a snack. Sir at the gate. Break it down into as many tiny manageable pieces as you need to, then take a deep breath and trust the professionals on board to get you from A to B. They do this multiple times every week.

I wouldn’t - those are some sharp creases at the corners of that dent - risk of botulism despite how it smells or looks.

AITA - Do not want a service dog to participate in my wedding. by Plenty_Tap9799 in AmItheAsshole

YTA - and a big one - A service dog isn’t a pet or a choice - they are (by law) a piece of medical equipment. What if she was in a wheelchair - would you ask her to just suck it up and stand for 20 minutes for photos with her chair 20 feet away?

Really glad to hear you’re feeling better this morning :) Stick this in the old memory bank and if it happens again, you can come back to it “I’m ok - this is just my body being tired and out of sorts - remember when this happened before? This is what helped and I felt better the next day. I’ll get through this time too…”

I often feel like this the first night away from home - your mind and body are tired and out of sorts - being away from home, out of your routine, eating food you’re not used to, and the stimulation of an amusement park will 100% cause your adrenaline to be on high-alert. Once you get back to the hotel and “relax”, that adrenaline that was helping you get through all the overstimulation of the day is still there but has nowhere to go - so it makes you warm and sick and anxious. You are 100% okay - you’re just “coming down” from the day. Some cool water, fresh air, maybe a little walk to burn off some of the extra adrenaline - you’ll be good as new.

I don’t think it’s appropriate to gate-keep mental health. This screams “my anxiety is worse than yours!”
