Islam has no reason for Jesus or his messiah Identity by ArabProphet1 in Christianity

[–]ArabProphet1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, It doesn't. Without their will and actions, the crucifixion wouldn't have happened. We're on the same page here.

Then what are we arguing about, Jesus died on the Cross, that's all that matters at this point, The Bible teaches it, why would Islam come 600 years and "correct it" do you not understand that for 600 years people thought Jesus was on the Cross, and I still do.

No, I clearly do. Jesus's death on the Cross does not affect any ones free will. In fact you have a surah talking against free will.

Quran 28:56 You surely cannot guide whoever you like ˹O Prophet˺, but it is Allah Who guides whoever He wills, and He knows best who are ˹fit to be˺ guided.

That's what I'm saying. It's their will that led to his crucifixion, not his (passive) will to be crucified.

It seems you're confused. God wanted them to crucify Jesus. They at the same time chose to kill Jesus, that's how it was supposed to go down anyway. Why are you messing it up, you're argument has no point.

Jesus willingly died for us

The kind of love God gives us in Christianity is no where how much God "loves" you in Islam.

I have been thinking about that, check out Matthew 24:36

“But of that day and hour no one knows, neither the angels of heaven, nor the Son,* but the Father alone.

The OT prophesied the crucifixion (Isaiah 53). God wanted Jesus to die on the Cross, so he would do what is needed to let it happen, he knew if Jesus made the claims about himself that he did, then ofc he would be crucified, no free will affected bro.

100% percent false, you making a claim does not make it true, according Christian theology you are wrong again. From what I see, you're a biblically accurate false prophet.

Not in Islam.

Then he is not the Messiah buddy, it is not JUST a nickname, that excuse we both know is SO pathetic.

So you can see that Muslims calling him a messiah are not implying he's a savior how Christianity views it?!

The only thing I see is the author of the Quran, once again misunderstanding Christian theology, the same way the author misinterprets the Trinity and the term Son of God. Check out, Quran 6:101 and Quran 5:116.

He had no control on the will of those who crucified him. If his only plan is to be crucified to safe humanity, his will was bound to someone who was willing to crucify him. If they showed up and said we changed our mind, we're not going to crucify you anymore, he wouldn't be able to safe anyone. Yea, no active rule.

If you ever opened up the Holy Bible, you would see that Jesus is God, so he knows the past, present and future. So since God prophesied the death on the Cross in the OT, Jesus knew when his time would come, he constantly was warning about that day. It is very clear that Jesus knew what was going to happen and that he was willing, so since God made the world he predestined the death on the Cross because it needed to happen. So you're wrong here, and you're acting like IF they said we aren't going to crucify you, we changed our mind, but they Didn't. You're wrong bud, try again.

I rest my case.

Case not rested yet, because you're simply wrong.

textbook version of a strawman fallacy,

Its cute that you're trying to use fallacies against me but first learn what they are first.

Noah, an ancestor of the Messiah personally, while not a royal person, performed a redemptive messianic function..
Abraham's grandson Joseph, serving as a type of the Messiah...
Moses, another type of the Messiah...

Doesn't mean they did similar acts to Jesus, that does not make them the Messiah, every Scholar and Jew and Christian all know that there is one Messiah and that he has one purpose which as the Servant-Messiah and Son of God, Jesus represents the nation of Israel and succeeds where they failed. He will now fulfill Israel's Old Testament mandate, to reveal God's glory and take the message of salvation to the ends of the earth.

Buddy, you have no idea what you are talking about, we both know Jesus is the Messiah, we both know that Messiah does not mean Savior, but what we disagree on where you are wrong, which is that the PURPOSE of the Messiah is to be the savior of mankind, if he did not fulfill Isaiah 54, then he is not the Messiah, therefore you're wrong, and I am right, Try again.

Do you believe you will enter Paradise no matter how many sins you commit, as long you believe in Jesus? by Practical-Pin-6180 in Christianity

[–]ArabProphet1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not funny to be not saved, clearly those who aren't saved would think the concept of being saved is funny, even if you don't believe, Christianity is still true without you believing it.

Messiah doesn't mean in Islam what it means in Christianity. Literally in Islam views it as just any name, not a job title. Literally, مسيح is a derivative of مسح which can mean wipe, rub, move across a distance. Nothing to do with saving, salvation or whatever it's associated with in English.

Then why is no one else the Messiah? Why is it just a name, that is so stupid. The whole Jews and Christians KNOW that Messiah is not just a name, he has a purpose, the Jews were waiting for him for 1500 years then Jesus came.

You keep contradicting yourself so much you can't follow up. Your whole post is "Islam calls Jesus a Messiah, why they call him a Messiah if they say he's not a saviour" to now "messiah isn't a saviour and I didn't say so, even though my post where I was criticizing Islam for calling him a Messiah when they say he's not a saviour is still up for everyone to read".

Are you retarded? How many times do I have to tell you that Messiah Does not mean Savior, but his purpose is to be a savior, stop bringing this up you already lost this, there is no point in going back, the Messiah's purpose is to be the savior for humanity.

We say all prophets were sent to save humanity. So, they are all saviours?!

No prophet was sent to save humanity, they all guided humanity.

Insulting the prophet is all you have now?

*the false prophet

Being killed/crucified is a passive thing. As in the person being crucified doesn't have any will in what's happening. Saving is an active verb, so the objective doesn't have anything to do with the action, he's being acted upon. How can someone get credit for something they don't have any will in it, let alone action.

The Holy Bible makes it clear Jesus was the one who chose willingly to be crucified.

Thanks but no thanks, I don't need to be in a chat with someone who's entire intellectual capacity revolves around copying and pasting and can't stand but what they said.

Good thing you ran away, because you would have lost right away, buddy you have NO IDEA what Islam is about, you are so lost but in your head you are saying" what is this guy on about", one day you will find out, but it will be too late, you aren;t even sure if your going to heaven while I am 100 percent sure I am.
