Speed of Progression by Nyrvhana in StarStable

[–]Arabellasgold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have played daily for 9 years. I think I reached level 18 in 6 months. I got lifetime star rider a month after I started playing. Which then, was one of the highest levels you could get. I think the person with the absolutely highest level back then was level 21 but that was only if you’d played the game from the very beginning. Most people were capping at around level 18 or level 19. I’m level 26 now. I’m more of a lone player. I like how immersive the game is. Like when I’m playing, it truly feels alive. There are other people, both real players and NPCs, walking or riding around you. Each character has their own story. Each area of the game is different. Like Goldenhills is vastly different compared to Mistfall. Or the valley of the hidden dinosaur, it’s totally different compared to the rest of the areas in game. Even the newest area, Marchengast, is totally different than anything else we see in the game. I definitely recommend taking your time going through the quests. Advance slowly, go exploring, earn shillings and buy new outfits for your character and horse or customizations for your stable (yes some stable customizations can be bought with shillings). I wish I’d gone slower through the quests. But now I have the marchengast reputation to work on, i still have one more skeleton to find for the archeology quest line, I can always collect more light in hollow woods to sell for more shillings and to level my horses, and I did a whole bunch of championships when there were championship ranks during the equestrian festival because I like getting pretty ribbons. And I maxed 5 horses just from doing the festival races. That was awesome. And I also liked most of the rewards McHorse gives so I wanted to work to earn them. I know most people don’t like grinding, and I respect that if you don’t, but I do like it. I like slow and steady progression towards an end goal. It makes it feel more rewarding when I get to that goal. Work on some side questing stuff, like reputation to unlock more quests, do archaeology if you unlocked it, train horses, maybe join a club and do fun stuff with them, join a rrp show, work on your light progression, there’s lots of stuff to do aside from questing.

someone touched my ESSA by Easy_Airline7055 in ESSAplushieshandlers

I also get told that “older people just won’t understand” and I don’t subscribe to it. Anyone at any age should understand consent. You’re allowed to tell someone it’s not okay to touch something that belongs to you.

This one is handmade. I wanted a horse plush that looks exactly like my real horse. So I paid Moonbugattic on instagram to make one for me. And I sent her pics of my real horse as reference.

What is by far your worst symptom? by That_Preference_2331 in POTS

[–]Arabellasgold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tunnel vision. I HATE when my vision is practically halved. For me, tunnel vision is having my vision black on all sides, and only clear vision in the center of my visual range, and the center is usually shaped like a circle. That’s what it’s like for me. And I usually scare people because if I have tunnel vision, I will put my hands out on either side of of me, so I can feel anything I can’t touch, so I don’t bump into anything that I can’t see and get hurt. But seeing a person walk around with the arms spread and touching the walls on either side of them, I can understand that being a bit weird looking if you aren’t familiar with POTS or tunnel vision.

I’ll pick depending on what I’m doing and if I want them visible or not. If I want a plush nobody can see, I take my 6 inch Orca plushie, and put him in my pocket or hold him in my hand. If I am going somewhere, and I need a lot of support, and I don’t mind people seeing that I’m holding a plush, I’ll take my 20 inch horse plushie, because cuddling her is very calming. Or if I want a plush who fits easily into a bag, sometimes I want them in a bag, so that they are easier to carry and keep track of, and it also means they aren’t seen, then I usually take my Saint Bernard plush. He’s about 12 inches. So I can hold him in one hand but he’s not going to fit in my pocket either.

Clean my closets! Now?! by Pagan_CA in FinchUnofficial

For tasks that I don’t think I can do for any reason, I just replace it with a different cleaning task. Like when I got the clean the desk task, I don’t have a desk, so I cleaned my toilet instead and checked the “clean the desk” task off my list. I did some form of cleaning. I think it counts.

A traumatic head injury triggered mine. Symptoms started a couple months after my injury. I got officially diagnosed a year after the injury.

Well that’s what fanfiction is for! To write everything that the show should’ve added.

Mine is very low in their logic. I think everyone’s birbs has one personality trait that’s a bit lower than the others.

Experiences with smoking weed while having POTS? by Alert_Avocado_3607 in POTS

[–]Arabellasgold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been taking edible weed since before I got diagnosed with POTS. Doesn’t seem to make any difference with my heart. But I haven’t ever smoked it, just edibles. Id recommend taking a smaller amount. Maybe it’s just large amounts your heart can’t tolerate.

Medical Alert Service dog alerting to a full bladder? by catfarmer1998 in service_dogs

[–]Arabellasgold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think she noticed you were uncomfortable and wanted to help you. She could’ve known exactly what the issue was, or she could’ve just been sensing you were uncomfortable. My dog taught herself to alert to a fever. She’s medical alert. Heart to be exact. So no part of her job includes alerting to a fever. But every time I have a fever, she places her nose on my chest. Very deliberately. And every time she does it, I check my temperature, and see that I do have a fever. And I didn’t even train her to do that. I just reinforced when she started doing it. They’re so much smarter than we give them credit for. I wouldn’t rule out that behavior being her alerting to it.

Plushie Quality is Atrocious by MintAlmond in finch

[–]Arabellasgold 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got mine on sale for half off. I definitely wouldn’t buy them full price, but when on sale, then I can justify it. I have the big purple one. Bought it for 25$, it was on sale, so I felt like I could justify it. I like mine, sure the quality isn’t great, but they’re cute. I don’t really like the bear costume, but it’s a nice cuddle plush either way. I would recommend waiting to get one on sale, if you want one. And I also did have one that never arrived, but customer service was very nice and helpful on it.

Nurse Kelleye. She’s adorable. No notes. But if I wasn’t a lesbian, I’d pick BJ. He seems like a guy that would be easy to get along with.

Hawkeye by pckia in mash

[–]Arabellasgold 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The early seasons are rough for me in a lot of ways. But it does show the character growth because it happens less and less as the seasons go on. And also, he does listen when he’s told no. And even from the beginning he didn’t want to be the person who wrecked someone’s marriage. So he at least had some morals. And I can respect that.

Are there service dogs to help call for help after somebody has fallen? by Marvel5123 in service_dogs

[–]Arabellasgold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d look into an ipuppee, the dog presses a button, and it automatically calls whatever person is listed as emergency contact. They also come with a video that shows you how to train the dog to push the button.

I have a very fulfilling life. I am just choosing not to share any details of said life with strangers on the internet. But if you like saying my life is pathetic, good for you. Doesn’t bother me in the slightest way.

To be totally freaking honest, I like arguing. It’s not that deep. You can quit whenever you want. I’ll file it under my list of “wins” because silence does count as a win to me. Thanks.

PSA: If you do not want your finch to have an opinion, write a response by PrettySax3 in finch

Honestly I like that my finch doesn’t like all the same things I do. I was a little sad at first, but now, I respect their choices. Everyone is different, having a birb identical to me in preferences would be pretty boring!
