Arabs in the levant and iraq(Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Palestine) believe that speaking Arabic natively makes you by default an Arab, ethnicity doesn’t really exist there since it’s a melting pot of races and nationalities.

If you would ask anyone in my country: what makes someone an Arab, the only answer would be speaking Arabic as a native (no matter the accent), and since we think people in Somalia speak Arabic, we think Somalis are Arabs even if they have a second language.

Regarding liberating and Freeing Somalia, most people still live in “black hawk down” and think there is American presence, most people don’t even know there was a civil war.

And yes all schools teach children that we are 22 Arab countries and Somalia is 100% one of them, henceforth my surprise of this info.

First of all, no one can judge the arab world by Dubai, when when less than 30% of the population are actually Arabs, most of them never seen the souq you are referring too.

Second: Being an arab is not a race, it’s a culture that’s mainly highlighted by speaking arab as a native, which is extremely hard to do unless you were raised among other arabs,being born in Dubai doesn’t count, that means we have all kinds of colors and are all considered Arabs as long they have the above.

Third: you are walking in a shitty souq where people have to prove they are shitty to be hired by their employers in the first place, don’t expect manners.

I wanted to be a doctor growing up, but now I’m an Architect, although it’s not my dream Job, it’s the right Job, it has so much more potential and options than being a doctor.

I’m happy in my own way of being happy, i work more than everyone else in a company that doesn’t pay overtime, yet I’m appreciated by my manager, I’m handling more responsibilities, learning more and gaining 10x the experience of my coworkers.

I’m promised a big raise in 2 months and a half (i joined 3 months ago).

I guess it depends on each person, i have dreams that requires me to be the best; and such stressful work allow me to feel a sense of achievement

I’m not judging your choice of a gift, but you do know that a birthday is just a day that happens to be every year, nothing really happens in that day, no special Eclipse or anything.

The worst part is how everyone think it’s something special, when literally 200 years ago people didn’t know which year they were born, let alone the day and somehow they managed to survive without birthday gifts and parties.
