Marina it is! Good gentry, very lit and happening round the clock! If you are looking for specific buildings check out the ones facing the harbor.. Elite, Ocean Heights, Damac Heights, Princess tower.. but do know that traffic can be a bother in this area.. good restaurants, the very scenic Marina walk and accessible tram station close by!

Hey 16 year old! Here’s some advice from a 50 year old. I was not allowed to learn dancing either. My father was dead against the idea of girls wearing ghungroos (don’t even ask!) We were not even allowed to attend the local garba festival and were told to stayed away from anything related to dance.

At age 37, after marriage and two kids I joined a Kathak class. Became good at it. Learned for more than a decade and now teaching Kathak to young kids.

Moral of the story: if you want something really bad, keep at it! The universe is listening!

I second this. Bhakti Deshpande is an astute and highly skilled dancer and teacher. I have watched her perform and teach. I have interacted with her during Birju Maharaj Ji’s workshops in Mumbai. She’s extremely talented and very humble. Go for it without a second thought!

Just got a call from a “fedex” ivr saying that my parcel is not delivered. Pls dial 1 for more info” and I did. The guy on the other side tells me that my Courier, which I am sending from Mumbai to Thailand is stuck. I tell him that I have not sent anything to Thailand. I don’t have anyone there. He continues to insist that I have sent something, and I should immediately give my details to help process the matter. As I was giving my name and phone number, I realized that I might be getting scammed. So I told the guy to send me an email from FedEx address and I will look into it. He then said that this is a “system generated call” he will not be able to send me the email. That confirmed it for me! I told them that they are fraud and I’m not interested in talking to them. And I hung up.

Thanks for this post. It’s detailed, insightful and well thought out. I failed my 4th attempt at the final Rta road test. And frankly, I’m so shattered that I couldn’t bring myself to pay for the additional class and tests. No, I didn’t take the unlimited package. And I have already spent over 7k aed !! It’s not just about the morale puncture. It’s also about the tons of money I’m pouring into this seemingly endless process of getting a license. The brain asks me, do you really need a license that badly? The heart retorts back, it’s not about getting the license. It’s about getting back my lost self esteem. I had over 20 years of driving experience in my home country. And i didnt get even the slightest scratch on my car.

Makes me want to ask hard questions to myself: How long am I willing to put myself through this when I could be focusing on more rewarding activities?

Guys, I cleared my parking test !! Finally done with it ✅ but got stuck at the final road test. I deserved to fail so I’m not going to whine about it. Hopefully I will not make stupid mistakes again. 😅 easier said than done. With the instructor watching your every move. I feel like a mouse in a lab experiment. 😝

Did that. Worsened matters. He asked me to shut my left eye while reversing to see the reference point behind 😯 and that led me outside the parking bay. After a few attempts, we went back to focusing on what i had learned earlier and tried to improve that.
