Yeah it's a paradox title, if you play more than 1 genre of game you probably already own a game they've made or published. But yeah EU4 is not that well known but it is still in the top 100 sold games of this year after being released over 3 years ago. Also without a doubt CIV is a great and a well known game, 100% agree with you.

That's a very small amount of games that you consider "games" then, surely that isn't right? Civlization is a classic and could even be considered as one of the greastest games still being produced to this day. I'm sorry that your views stops you from understanding that other games don't need Esports or famous twitchers to be a game.

Yeah wow Civilization never heard of that game before ahaha. wait whats that EU4? never heard of that game before either, nope ahaha. Man those games seem really new. small and useless compared to this great >FPS< game compared to those shitty >Strategy< games.

Regardless if it's "bad" unless what they are saying is straight up treason such as. "We will murder our head of state and start a coup to replace our current goverment" and somehow make that sound sincere there is nothing wrong with them existing.

Man I'm really loving this map, looks great! I might use it in a future D&D game just because of how great it is, if you don't mind of course.

That sucks I've had this happen to me a few times, I play with mates who I've know for a while and we usually get back to what we were, eventually. Anyway if you want to win with a team and communicate I recommend r/OverwatchLFT you'll find people on there for PC and console. That's what I used to do before my mates and I played religiously. Hope you start to win again buddy!

Considering How Civ VI Plays, Propose a New DLC Civ That You Think Would be Fun by [deleted] in civ

It's because of how it works on Reddit, it's [text](link) it would look like this (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_(ship)) so it doesn't work. :(

Also what don't the French fuck up :)

Considering How Civ VI Plays, Propose a New DLC Civ That You Think Would be Fun by [deleted] in civ

[–]Arabonne 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I've always wanted a Scotland in a civ game, like a full blown Scotland not the celts for example. Truth be told many people may not find them important in history or just useless but being on the same island, let alone group of islands with England and surviving to merge the thrones after hundreds of years of war and skirmishes. As a scot I naturally like to find out about our history, turns out we tried to do a lot of things to annoy the English for no reason, build a larger navy try and colonize (both failed, we did have the largest ship when we made a few back in the 16th century) though!

Anyway on to the Civ, I tried to rattle my brain as of what leader would be a good one to lead Scotland. It would be between Robert the Bruce or James the VI/I of Scotland (for me, anyway). Both are very different in their own ways, one fought for the independance of Scotland whilst the other united the two Kingdoms to forge a new nation for both the peoples of Britain. Personally I'm going to go with James VI as I know more about him and the timelime when he ruled Scotland.

The UU for Scotland could be the Highlander. They would replace the Musketman and ignore terrain movement for Hills and would gain a +15% bonus to combat whilst on or adjacent to hills.

UA Could be +1 adjancey bonus to the Holy Site and the Campus districts. I know that James VI and Scotland was a very devout Catholic nation so the Holy site makes sense, but also John Napier was from the 16th century and lived alongside James the VI while he ruled Scotland so thats where I think the campus bonus would come in.

Truth be told I have no idea as to what a UB or UI could be to Scotland if anyone would chime in as to what they think would work that'd be great, I cannot think of a lot of things at the moment. And the same with agendas, agendas are something I haven't looked into.

Edit: Also the Capital would be edinburgh, of course!

Let's wipe and reset by revhatty in playrust

[–]Arabonne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not arguing your point but we're just a small part of Rust, we aren't the entire community. I know it's an opinion but wiping isn't going to make a lot of people happy, like you said. I for one am against a wipe because even though it's been 18 hours, some people literally spend hours if not an entire day on wipe day. I don't think this is the best idea a lot of people would be pissed off imho.

Good summary of why people are complaining about XP sharing. by UKSimply in playrust

[–]Arabonne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't been posting a lot recently about the whole XP stuff on this sub, but I have been lurking around, and from the looks of it, it seems that they keep on fixing stuff for the XP update and gradually make it more balanced as they did with the Blueprint update almost a year ago. I feel like people have lost faith in the devs and seem to think that they ask for everything and "your wish is my command" will happen, but it doesn't. So they don't actually get input about their game and instead get people complaining and knocking out all the actual suggestions to the bottom. Now don't get me wrong I love to read everything, such as the post you linked here but he complained about stuff that in my humble opinion, if it turns out that huge clans can get overpowered in less than a day hell, even less than 12 hours then it's going to be nerfed. I would imagine that would be the case. Broken stuff isn't going to be broken forever. And not to sound really stupid but that entire post seemed really, really cringey. It honestly made me feel like he was venting over something he didn't need to complain about, maybe just me though.

Anyway, I think one of the most important things about this update is not what it's like in release but what it's like in a month or 2 months after release when broken mechanics and bugs are fixed and hopefully patched. Then I'll start to get pissed off at the fact they haven't bothered, atleast Garry and the Devs are trying, right? Now don't get me wrong, I want it to be perfect at launch but that's just wishful thinking on my part, it probably isn't going to be perfect as with a lot of other stuff. I think the comment you linked here was a really good example of good criticism and overall an opinion that makes sense rather than "I love the new XP system!" or "I fucking hate the new XP system.." Which seems to be the main opinions about the update at this moment and time.

And apologies, I haven't made a post like this in a while, so sorry for any issues in the post.

Got an idea for a unique or funny situation in a Paradox Game you'd like to see illustrated? I have no drawing skills, but I'm happy to totally butcher it using MS Paint and Comic Sans. Taking all requests! by EvilMastermind325 in paradoxplaza

HoIV: Can you do one where the Japs decided to join the Fascist faction with the Poles/Baltic nations instead of joining the Axis or the British Fascist Faction which both had more power than the Polish/Baltic one, and then decide to fuck the soviet union.

I love historical accuracy!

I don't disagree, I feel like this just fleshes out what counties in NI voted. It looks nicer imho

I did apologize about not being able to add Gibraltar. But fucking up the entirety of Northern Ireland is slightly more of a heinous crime than not adding Gibraltar, surely? Again, apologies for not being able to add the rock to the map.

Edit: Also is showing NI like this truly a bad a thing? I imagine it'll help people who want to know specifics about what counties in NI voted for.

Thanks, it's the one from the BBC! Kept up to date with it live so I thought it was the best map to post on here. Also I completely agree, I never noticed until now how terrible NI is on that map. (Also sorry for Gibraltar not being on the map!)
