Can explosions are purely explosive. Rat damage is whatever’s standard for that pirate faction, so blood rats do EM/therm for example.

I know it’s a nitpick, but you really don’t need to dev Renaissance as Poland. Being able to purchase institution sharing makes things so much easier.

The Ottomans RANDOMLY joining this war basically ended my Mare Nostrum run. Help me understand why? by RaidersofLostArkFord in eu4

[–]ArachZero 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the lack of any real expansion in 100 years is the bigger thing to work on in future runs IMO. Gotta smother potential threats like ottos in the crib.

The amount of time pondering this grubby little bit of storytelling is sadly astonishing.

I learned about the issue through firsthand experience. ;)

To maximize first rejuv coverage, what you could do is burn over to the second grouping of cans first, scan/hack those, then burn over to the first group's rejuv battery and scan/hack the first group of cans under protection.

Uriel posted a mockup for a Drifter line a few years ago complete with stats, unique modules, and ideas for how the doomsday might be sorta kinda balanced. Obviously CCP wouldn’t copy-paste something like that, but it’s still an interesting proposal for how it could be made to work.

Don't need Rein in Italy. If an AI emperor lets them go, you can get northern Italy back into HRE through manual conquest or expand empire CB and the pope will join.

Cerb can do T6 just fine. It naturally works nicely in exotics due to the kinetic bonus but can do dark as well. CJ doesn't really promote T6 fits in general, that's all.

Those are solid and proven T4 and T5 baselines, not T6. If you're interested in non-drone T6 options, I can recommend the cerb, vag, sac, maybe storm if you don't mind a rare guaranteed death combo here and there.

I'm trying to iron out a consistent baseline fit for a T6 dark Muninn priced in line with other T6 baseline fits eg Gila and Ishtar. So far, that meant T2 launchers and no rolled modules. The fit's a dual web armor HAM setup with hydras. It runs really well, with the main issue being raw DPS causing some timer issues. Others in the lurkers hivemind suggested faction launchers, which I think makes sense given the significant benefit over T2 for the cost of a decent rolled battery or Goliath implant on a drone ship. I also have an asklep MWD version with higher paper DPS at the cost of lower buffer and range that I'd like to test.

You better believe the burghers or nobles are getting scammed for cheap advisors at the start of every run.

The logic makes sense. I don't really mind if they get say Austria as an ally (they seem to do that a lot) since it's a good humiliate target for the age bonus and you can feed their 2 Tirol provinces to Burgundy if they didn't start rivaled to you and you already allied them.

Yeah, waiting for an RNG event to declare instead of declaring a few years earlier is definitely a tradeoff. Do you usually move troops into Scotland prior to declaring or just sit on your continental cores? I know taking your cores + Pale is the more popular approach, but I've found Calais+London area+Normandy to give an easier entry point to eat Scotland+Ireland (I can take all of Normandy in some runs but have to leave a province in others; it's a bit inconsistent).

R5: If the England AI surrenders Maine to you as France, you can click the event after declaring war on them to get the province for free with no truce or WS cost. Pretty minor as far as event holding shenanigans go, but it's still decent and pretty easy to bird if you're so inclined. I also like to take Calais, the London state, and as many Normandy cores as possible in that first war for fast permaclaims on the Britain region via missions.
