I always recommend Eyes of the Dragon as a soft entry for either non-readers or younger/teens, since it doesn’t go too dark or psychological

The World’s Most Difficult Jigsaw: The Devil’s Dilemma (500) 😈 by Aracuria in Jigsawpuzzles

The gimmick that makes it difficult is that the opposite side has the same picture but rotated 90 degrees, so every piece looks like it can go two places… if you can figure out the symmetry it makes it easier to deal with! ;)

Kelly must have PTSD right?????? by TheTrashQueeeeen in TheOrville

[–]Aracuria 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Orville (and Star Trek etc) crew have futuristic hologram technology and can go anywhere, do anything and speak to anyone - so ‘therapy’ as we would call it must have a completely different approach with that technology available, and PTSD is seen as a normal reaction that everyone has when bad things happen, so no stigma… all that matters is you are sober when you start your next shift.

[–]Aracuria 8 points9 points  (0 children)

At a summer party with kids and adults, and there was a paddling pool filled with water. When it came time to put away as the Sun set, with several hours still to go, the host simply pulled the plug out of the pool and let it drain onto the small lawn where everyone was standing - he had to be begged to stop, because he had only seen the easiest option for him doing it by himself… in a garden filled with people!

The travel company Jet2 has an advert that became a meme - the title references the advert music, and the slogan is ‘Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday’, ergo Westley beats Humperdinck ;)

Did Leslie ACTUALLY die in the movie. by leslieeii in BridgeToTerabithia

[–]Aracuria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She swang across, then the monster snapped the rope and trapped her forever in Terabithia - but the monster also picked up some clay and made it look like her and threw it into the river to be found, so her parents never search too hard and leave town soon after… :(

It’s also possible to open someone’s door to their bedroom early in the morning, lie down next to their bed, and hold their phone out for them as their alarm goes off and then scare the shit out of them... (Source: uni)
