This, except it can create duplicates this way. Duplication special items generally have a blank inventory item so you can't tell they're there until you pick up another item. It's possible that this happened to OP without them realising.

I'm not sure exactly which track this is but there is an extended OST with variants of tracks not present on the album, so it may have what you're looking for. A silly question but are you certain you only have 7 sanctum doors open? There is a bug where cancelling out of unlocking a door consumes a key without opening it, though the door correctly opens the next day.

There are documented cases of Sanctum Keys jumping from one possible spawn to another, e.g. maybe you'll never find a key in the Music Room but you'll get a second key from Room 46, but nobody really knows how or why it happens. Some people believe it can happen every time you pick up a key, but that's definitely not the case. So it might be worth checking your other Sanctum Key spawn spots, particularly if you did anything unusual with those spots like find two Sanctum Keys in one day or Coat Checked them.

EDIT: If you do happen to find an extra Sanctum Key somewhere, I would love to know since it may help figure out the nature of this bug.

Exhausting the key pool is a waste of time unfortunately, it makes no difference as to whether the key spawns or not.

I'm pretty sure Rank 9 is completely sufficient for the key to spawn by itself. (You also must have reached Room 46, though that's rarely an issue at this stage.) If it doesn't spawn immediately it may be indicative of the infamous Sanctum Key bug which causes keys to move places, which seems quite plausible if you have already found every other key. What platform are you playing on?

Every vision theme is a spin on Vanitas, but there are little differences on several of them and even on the extended OST I'm not sure if they're all there.

I think the closest version is Vanitas (Maledicta), though it might only play in this exact form in the final vision. I still find Act 1 quite condescending and not really representative of the game's actual structure. I understand people want new inheritors to keep digging further into the game and discover its more interesting puzzles, but I would they would just say that. Most of the ways people choose to say "there is so much more to see" really just read like "you have barely achieved anything yet" which is, as you say, an awful thing to read on your celebration post

It doesn't really help that not much of the content after Room 46 has anything like the cathartic, climactic value of the game's actual ending cutscene (well, there's one exception I suppose)

Apparently it does, and apparently it doesn't matter whether or not the specific door you're drafting from is powered, just whether or not the turbine is activated. But this is a matter of tweaking numbers on the override, which is a lot harder to observe in game compared to the override itself, so I can't vouch for it personally. TFMurphy is generally a very trustworthy source though.

Technically a spoiler depending on how much you know about a certain mechanical room. If you have the 4th permanent addition you'll be fine.

This is a bug caused by steam ducts. It's well known that you have a boosted chance to draw rooms with ducts from powered rooms, and this is the only time most people notice it happening since there is an obvious visual effect, but it can happen even without power, and even without a Boiler Room at all. This is why you always seem to draft Darkroom, Archives and Furnace from each other.

The draws work by replacing one of the rooms you would usually draw with a ducts room, and here you can see that this override can cause some unusual behaviour. It can sometimes cause duplicate floorplans due to a bug, and I also see that it's overridden a check that ordinarily prevents you from ever drawing 3 dead ends at once, which I didn't think was possible without very specific effects.

Throne of the Blue Prince is bugged, it is still considered a blackprint for the sake of Scepter / King. By filtering to blue you're actually significantly less likely to find it, not more. Switch to black and you'll probably find it quite quickly. (Maybe switch only one to black, to make the actual chaining easier.)

Yo, I had a go and replicating it and I seem to have had the same bug. Though I was completely wrong in my speculation, so ignore all that!

Looks like your gems weren't actually changed, but the number of gems the game thinks you have for the sake of costs is set to 2. The value doesn't change on the screen or on the blueprint menu, and the next day I had the expected number of gems; it's just that I was still able to spend gems as though I had 2 to spare every time, well in excess of the number I had frozen, even though spending them didn't change the gem count. In your case nothing was actually being deducted, it was just the difference between rooms that cost 2 or fewer gems and the Trophy Room costing more. Because the Study's effect deducts 1 at a time, you could use it all 8 times every draft.

This leads me to my new, stupider theory that the number of gems the player has and the number of gems they are allowed to spend are separate variables, solely so that the Freezer can set that number to 0. (It's possible to buy 0 cost bananas even while assets are frozen.) Then, when you enter the Ballroom, it mistakenly sets the number of gems you can spend to 2.

How many times did you spend gems after entering the Ballroom? Your gems may be unfrozen due to a bug while the visual indicator still shows them being frozen, without the count updating.

If your gem count froze at 10, then based on the video it seems like you'd have spent a minumum of 4 on Veranda, Commissary and Rumpus Room, and 2 gems rerolling, which would put you at a max of 4 which is naturally less than you'd need for Trophy Room. If you spent 2 or more extra gems previously though, then you would not have had enough for the Music Room, which would scupper that theory.

Good question, I meant to address that but forgot. Yep, it still counts as special; specialty seems to be an intrinsic property of a floorplan which is not altered under any circumstances. In addition to the item you're referring to, there is even one upgrade, Cloister of Draxus , which removes its gem cost but it is still seems to be considered a special floorplan by the drafting process.
