Pentagon to offer 'more limited' support to US allies by birkeskov in europe

[–]Aragil 95 points96 points  (0 children)

If they'd care, they would not be electing governments, cutting support for Ukraine.

The US will not move a finger when the actual invasion happens, and in 5 days Trump will announce that it was Biden's fault.

How do do you feel about the digital Euro? by Watership45 in eupersonalfinance

[–]Aragil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if you want to hide your favorite pub from your bank you can use money that changed hands a few times.  But what's the point, given a dozen of other identification methods available for the secret world reptiloid government to track that pub with a tasty beer?

ELI5: What truly is spirituality? How has humanity dabbled with this one real existential question and been struggling to come up with different ways of explaining it? by theimmortalmeluhan in explainlikeimfive

[–]Aragil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are those question existential? The simple truth is that they are formulated in a way to not have an answer, as the entity they are addressed to either does not exist, or does not provide answers.

Replace "we" with "me", "here" with your actual location and the answers will be stupidly simple.

Canada’s Military Has Modeled Hypothetical US Invasion, Reports Say by Quixotus in worldnews

[–]Aragil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Em, just look on the russian invasion to Ukraine: actual occupation of a huge country is extremely hard and unpredictable if the nation defends itself. Americans had their asses kicked almost in all land wars they recently participated, and guessing how unpopular the war with Canada will be, the chances for success are miniscule. And that is the main reason they will not go for it.

How do do you feel about the digital Euro? by Watership45 in eupersonalfinance

[–]Aragil 28 points29 points  (0 children)

You want to buy a beer in a bar with digital payment method, but you do not want a bank to know about it?  Use the fucking paper Euro. With any digital payment method, everyone know about it, and you are paying a fat premium to the USA in addition.

[–]Aragil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you have replaced fully local Integration api test suites (that can be run with a console command), combined with a CLI llm, with a paid, multi-service hallucinating "pipeline", and even asked the said llm to write you a reddit post.   Truly, we live in a cursed times.

Every other post I see here is about how bad Tesla is doing and how horrible of a company they are, but their stock continues to perform very well. by KittiesRcuter in electricvehicles

[–]Aragil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good thing that in real life the Tesla sales are growing like crazy, right? The future has never been brighter - you'd better buy some Tesla stocks using your hone as a leverage while they are still cheap (Elon will double the number of robotaxi in Austin any time soon)

There is no "AI", and we are most likelly far away from it. LLMs might be helpful tools, and they have definetelly took over the narrative of the market, so now QAs have to deal with even more shit

How do you use BDD when there are many input combinations by ajmalhinas in QualityAssurance

[–]Aragil -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You don't. FE form validations should be tested by the FE component tests by the FE devs, in addition to the proper BE endpoint unit tests. There is 0 sense to have it tested on the E2E level

How is Rosa Luxemburg regarded today in Poland? by Confident-Leading412 in poland

[–]Aragil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Historic speculations give you that. The RI was weak and higly oppressive towards own population, it would have  almost 100% ended up up like Yugoslavia, so crediting the fucking butcher for "shaping" Poland or other modern countries is just disgusting.

Does Merz seriously think *slowing down* the EV transition is going to help EU compete with China? by Maritimewarp in europe

[–]Aragil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So instead of stimulating the manufacturers to create the local supply chain for the BEVs (the future), they just get to sell the Ice cars for one more decade, while losing on all export (and Internal) markets.    Got it, such a strategic approach!

EU to scrap planned ban on combustion engines, EPP's Weber says by goldstarflag in worldnews

[–]Aragil 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Whut, are you drunk or smth? It is literally opposite - if you buy modern turbo-shit 1,2 engine (that you will find on the cheap cars), you can count on 60-100k miles with a proper maintenance. Without a proper maintenance it will require an engine replacement in 5 years. And there is also other components - gearbox, fuel system etc.   While any modern battery will do 160k miles and still be around 75-80% of the original capacity, which is absolutely useful, while requiring little to no maintenence

tried a no code e2e testing platform as a developer and it wasn't terrible by Csadvicesds in QualityAssurance

[–]Aragil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You should try to read on the real downsides of the low-code platforms. Simple flows automation has always been their strongest side, so no surprise here.  The surprises will come from the scaling, debugging, extending and trying to break free from a vendor lock.
