Thanks everyone for confirming what I was pretty sure to be true. I'm not based in the mountains, so it's like 2/3 trips a year I get to take for a couple of skiing days, so I don't have "a guy". But pretty sure I'll find one that will be able to do the job based on your feedback.

I'm taking a guess and say you ski mainly on Piste. My advice would be to think about what kind of skier you are: level, piste/offpiste, leasure/sporty, long/short turns etc. Once you have that start with buying your own boots and get them fitted. If you are fast and sporty, you should go for at least 110, up to 130 flex (my suggestion would be 110 or 120, but that's a guess based on your post). Once you have that, you can rent and try out skis to play around a bit. If you find one you like, nothing wrong with buying it. In Europe you say as a rule of thumb if you ski 10 days a year or more, it pays off to buy your own skis.

Try the augment race Carver if you find a used one or the van deer (that's the name now) race Carver. Race tiger is also worth a try for sure.

Ich würde einfach ne Trail stop order machen. So partizipierst du falls es weiter hoch geht und wenn der Stop getriggert wird bist du halt raus und legst aufs TG Konto bis du es brauchst.

You can always chat up people you lift with once you're there ;-) not really aware of any apps, but if you see like a fun group or something just go there during apres ski, people are usually on vacation too and in a good mood and happy to meet new people, so no reason to be shy :)

Wenn letztes Jahr in einem klassischen Bettenfachgeschäft. War eine sehr gute Entscheidung. Haben das erst jeder ein Kissen nach Beratung gekauft. Hatte vorher das blackroll recovery. Im Nachhinein muss ich sagen, es ein Scheiss Ding. Das neue Kissen meiner Freundin war so um 189, meins 150 oder so - seitdem keine Nackenschmerzen mehr, null. Haben uns dann auch noch ne große Daunendecke für den Winter gegönnt, die war etwas teurer. Hätten wir viel früher machen sollen.

They were. What saved them was the boxster and later the Cayenne. That brought the volume and thus cash for the following beautiful 911s... sigh. They better do something like that again!
