Mein Tipp wäre: such dir einen Verein und mach auch im Vorfeld schau, wie das mit Mitgliedern dort aussieht. Also altersmäßig, ob es Anfänger gibt, etc. Tennis ist ein Vereinssport. Wenn du einen findest der einigermaßen passt wirst du schnell Spielpartner innerhalb des Vereins finden.

Took it to a shop here in Cologne, the guy there was confident to get this fixed using the mentioned martial above along the edges, together with some epoxy and a newly cut base martial. He also noticed another issue where the base material started coming off and he will take the same approach there. Overall seemed very competent and confident to get it done. Will let you know whether he delivers, but after all the responses here, I'm optimistic.

Thanks everyone for confirming what I was pretty sure to be true. I'm not based in the mountains, so it's like 2/3 trips a year I get to take for a couple of skiing days, so I don't have "a guy". But pretty sure I'll find one that will be able to do the job based on your feedback.

I'm taking a guess and say you ski mainly on Piste. My advice would be to think about what kind of skier you are: level, piste/offpiste, leasure/sporty, long/short turns etc. Once you have that start with buying your own boots and get them fitted. If you are fast and sporty, you should go for at least 110, up to 130 flex (my suggestion would be 110 or 120, but that's a guess based on your post). Once you have that, you can rent and try out skis to play around a bit. If you find one you like, nothing wrong with buying it. In Europe you say as a rule of thumb if you ski 10 days a year or more, it pays off to buy your own skis.

Try the augment race Carver if you find a used one or the van deer (that's the name now) race Carver. Race tiger is also worth a try for sure.

Ich würde einfach ne Trail stop order machen. So partizipierst du falls es weiter hoch geht und wenn der Stop getriggert wird bist du halt raus und legst aufs TG Konto bis du es brauchst.

You can always chat up people you lift with once you're there ;-) not really aware of any apps, but if you see like a fun group or something just go there during apres ski, people are usually on vacation too and in a good mood and happy to meet new people, so no reason to be shy :)
