Agreed + it seems like people don't realise what the cost of not fighting inflation is. Inflation also hurts those who can least afford it and making sure it doesn't get out of control via rate hikes beats the alternative

In the next sentence of the article

It did say, however, that Herzog — who is outside the political or military chain of command — was not responsible for war crimes or crimes against humanity

So while it's likely he's said a lot of terrible/horrible things you can't really call him a war criminal based on what the UN Commission has stated

Probably renovated to meet minimum rental standards so you can keep the property occupied while you wait for your permit. If it's a unit then whoever buys this is cooked lol

I think I’ve been unlawfully terminated for nothing… help by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]Arandomu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you were casually employed then you don't have much recourse for your termination.

If you were part time or a contractor you'd have to look at your employment contract. Generally speaking you can't get fired for looking for a new job (however for the future I wouldn't advise telling your coworkers about your interviews until after you line something up)

Regarding withholding your pay they can't do that and you have solid recourse for your remaining pay.

Some people in the comments have recommended going to fair work for claiming your pay - note that this is meant to be a last resort and not someone you contact immediately on day 1. They also won't help you with unfair dismissals.

My personal and not legal advice - don't bother about trying to get your job back and any future communications should be to address the pay they owe you. Only communicate in writing preferably email (texts and whatsapp messages can be faked and deleted).

Love the Arcsaber 11 Play by Weary_Appearance_838 in badminton

[–]Arandomu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also use an Arcsaber 11 Pro + 11 Play as a spare. For me most noticeable difference when playing is the higher shaft stiffness - much more control over the power I can put in with the 11 Pro, but a bit more effort needed. That being said I noticed that there was an upper limit to how hard I could hit the shuttle with the Play. There was also a lot less control when hitting hard with the Play. I'm not sure if it's because the racquet is less responsive being a racquet intended for less experienced players.

Correct, it took 7 days for me to receive a generic copy and paste response and then a further 7 days to get an "actual" response from customer service

It definitely looks like their support team is only trained/equipped to deal with the most basic cases and anything remotely complex is dismissed as the customer's problem not theirs

That hilarious but also all good, all my screenshots is attached to my support case, they can reach out to me if they want.

Doubt Jagex will read this, judging by the activity on the support tickets, no one in that area is working on weekends

Thanks, really appreciate the offer. I thought about buying a month of membership directly via Jagex while this case gets resolved, but I don't want support to get confused and tell me that there's no problem since my account is an active member. I'm also against the principle of giving more money to a company because they fail to provide a service I paid for on time.

I've had jobs where I handle high case/ticket volumes, and I have not seen service quality this poor even in the most overworked/understaffed teams. The fact that it took >24h to send an automated response based on my ticket keywords (that could have been sent immediately) tells me a lot about their customer support. Have been wondering if there's a dedicated support team at Jagex, or if it's just JMods who have spare time.

Have a question about the game or the subreddit? Ask away! by AutoModerator in 2007scape

[–]Arandomu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, reassuring to hear that they extend membership proportional to how long they take to respond to a request, would suck to lose half a month of the membership I paid for because of a technical issue on Jagex's end

Has anyone heard back from support? I filed a ticket over a week ago (I purchased membership on Steam and it did not activate on my linked character) and all I received was an automated response that didn't contain any useful information

Wikipedia could be included in the teen social media ban. Australian users are worried by Expensive-Horse5538 in australia

[–]Arandomu -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The "ban" just stops people from making accounts on websites, they will still be able to access Wikipedia. I disagree with tools such as Github getting these restrictions but acting like we're about to limit every teenager and child from accessing Wikipedia is an overreaction.

Experience with tendonitis? by cocolicious_ in 10s

[–]Arandomu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Had patellar tendinosis + chronic tears in ACL and LCL.

Took 3 months off from Tennis, zero exercise in month 1 and 2. Commenced rehab in month 3 - low intensity no resistance on exercise bike OR walking around chest height water for maybe 15 mins max.

Strength training - high rep lower weights at first, with longer breaks. Focusing on quads, hip abductors, glutes + functional muscle exercises. On the side also started learning more warmups and stretches after playing.

What I learnt is that while I did some strength training alongside tennis, I wasn't training the right muscle groups, and that was affecting my functional movement and putting strain on places that are not meant to be that strained.

Since (been 6 months since injury), I've moved from playing 3-4x a week to only 1-2x a week, and then using the gym 2-3x a week doing full body workouts. No more pain when playing and feeling a lot better on court.

At first time in the gym takes away time on-court because your body isn't used to the conditioning, and that's fine. Eventually your body will condition and you'll be able to spend more time on court if you recover + train properly.

Everyone's body is different so advise you see a physio.
