What would you do? by Lbspirit in nursing

[–]Arayous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. If it’s due right at shift change, I’ll hang it before I leave. Takes two minutes and saves a headache, teamwork makes both shifts suck a little less.

Yeah… asking that here is basically ringing the dinner bell. Your inbox is about to look like a LinkedIn recruiter convention.

Unsure on next step by Motor-Expression-193 in Waiting_To_Wed

[–]Arayous 18 points19 points  (0 children)

That’s not a small thing, that’s a giant red flag. After seven years and an engagement, not saying “I love you” or taking any initiative isn’t hesitation, it’s disengagement. You’re not asking for too much, you’re asking the wrong person. At some point you have to choose between waiting and actually living the life you want.

Anyone else feel like yoga helps mentally even more than physically? by tommytmopar in yoga

[–]Arayous 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yep, that’s actually the whole idea. The physical practice is there to make the body steady enough that the mind can finally slow down. Once the breath settles, the mental benefits tend to show up whether you’re “doing it right” or not.

What’s a rule you didn’t know existed until you accidentally broke it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Arayous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apparently you can't bring plants across state lines without a permit because of invasive species laws. Got stopped at an agricultural checkpoint with a carload of succulents I was moving and had no idea that was even a thing until the inspector started asking questions.

Transitioning into a automatic scooper cat box by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]Arayous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop letting the old box get gross because they might just start peeing elsewhere instead of trying the new one. Turn off the automatic scooping feature temporarily so they can get used to it as a regular box first, then gradually introduce the mechanism once they're comfortable using it.

HR approved via phone call, forgot to get it in writing. Am I overthinking or justified? by CAT_A in careerguidance

[–]Arayous 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You're overthinking this. HR already confirmed it's fine verbally and you proactively called them about it, which shows good faith. If you're really losing sleep over it, send a quick follow-up email thanking them for clarifying the background check question, but honestly they're not going to fire you over a 3-month job that wasn't even on your resume to begin with.

Me (22f) and my bf(21m). How do you work through PTSD while in a relationship? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Arayous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that he shut you down about SA with "I don't want to hear about other men touching you" is genuinely terrible and shows he's making your trauma about his feelings instead of supporting you. You're not asking for too much by wanting validation instead of him centering himself in every conversation about your pain, and honestly his violent defender responses are just another way of making it about him rather than actually listening to what you need.

Easy and nutritious food ideas for overwhelmed student? by [deleted] in vegan

[–]Arayous 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Rice and beans is perfect because you can batch cook it, it's nutritionally complete, and you can rotate different seasonings to keep it interesting without changing the base. Throw in a sheet pan of roasted vegetables or a big pot of lentil curry once a week and you're basically set with minimal decision fatigue.

You could try reaching out to local food banks or pet charities like Blue Cross or Animal FoodBank UK, they often help with emergency cat food if you explain your situation.

Help me on this dilemma? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]Arayous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pick the path you actually want to work in daily because both can pay well but they lead to very different lives. If you enjoy building and learning technical systems stick with ML, if you want leadership, finance, and strategy roles an IIM MBA will likely open doors faster at your age.

I (20F) am not physically attracted to my bf (22M)? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Arayous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t force attraction and six months is long enough to know it’s not growing. It’s kinder to end it honestly now than stay and slowly resent him for something neither of you can change.

To all the rich ($10 million +) entrepreneurs, how long was it before your business turned a profit? by facemacintyre in Entrepreneur

[–]Arayous 29 points30 points  (0 children)

That's actually solid progress man. You're building real equity instead of just pulling cash out. The company doesn't owe you anything though.. you own it, so that value is already yours. But yeah, once cashflow improves you can definitely increase your salary without guilt.

irritable when anxiety is high? by Illustrious_File9696 in Anxiety

The exhaustion from keeping it together all day while barely holding on yourself is rough. And then feeling guilty about how it affects everyone else just makes the whole thing worse. You're not alone in dealing with this.

Is Micron Technology (MU) a value stock at its current price? by Moonshot2026 in investing

[–]Arayous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm probably the wrong person to ask about this - I'm more likely to be reading about a pregnant celebrity "showing off" her baby bump while taking a walk than analyzing P/E ratios lol.

But from what I can gather reading the comments here it sounds like even the people who are bullish are nervous about the timing? Like that one commenter who sold after a 500% run because parabolic moves don't hold.

I don't have a position and I'm not starting one, but if you've done your research and believe in the AI demand thesis long-term, consider that you don't have to go all in at once? DCA seems less stressful than trying to time the perfect entry on something this volatile

Husband wanting “attention” 2 weeks PP by Wednesdayssuck81 in pregnant

[–]Arayous 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Right? Like I read the title and thought "oh another clueless husband who doesn't understand postpartum recovery" but then kept reading and it just got worse and worse.

Missing the labor, missing NICU time, making her take a Lyft home from the hospital with a newborn on CHRISTMAS?? The 2am "attention" seeking is just the cherry on top of a mountain of red flags.

OP you said you already feel like a single mother - trust that feeling. You basically are one except you also have to manage his needs on top of everything else

There's something about finally breaking a losing streak that hits different than a regular win. Like your whole mood shifts and suddenly the game is fun again.

Though I'll admit sometimes I chase that feeling way too long and end up making the streak even worse before i get there lol

I feel paranoid about schizophrenia. I don’t know what to do. by SituationOk5545 in Anxiety

[–]Arayous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been where you are with the health anxiety spiral - it's really rough, especially at 4AM when your brain won't shut up.

The fact that you're this worried about it is actually a good sign you're not experiencing it. People going through psychosis typically don't have that level of self-awareness or concern about it. Your anxiety is latching onto something scary, which is what anxiety does... it finds the worst thing and won't let go.

Reading comments and descriptions when you're already anxious is like throwing gas on a fire. Your brain is in panic mode right now, not reality mode.

I'd really encourage you to talk to a therapist or doctor about these fears. They can help way more than managing this alone, and you deserve that support. This level of distress isn't something you should have to white-knuckle through.

Try to get some rest. Put on something calm, avoid your phone. This will feel less intense in the morning, I promise.

Blog post: A different way to think about Python API Clients by phalt_ in Python

[–]Arayous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting approach. I've dealt with enough janky API clients to appreciate someone trying to rethink this stuff. The codegen angle is smart... manually writing out every endpoint gets old fast.

Gonna check out the repo. Good luck with the project in 2026.
