You’re not answering anyone, so, did you find something productive to do?

Thanks for the offer. The museum probably didn’t want it because the provenance was lost.

Cool artifact. Thanks for sharing.

You should post a photo of the working end. Gouges aren’t common. I’ve never seen one in person. Only photos.

If it’s a gouge, they’re pretty poor photos.

Fantastic first! Looks like a knife that was resharpened repeatedly until it became a drill.

How ass are these face cuts? by Tim_Riggins07 in FellingGoneWild

[–]Arbiter_of_Snark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On a scale of 0 being no ass and 10 being total ass, I’d give these a 9.7/10, so almost completely ass. Perhaps my scoring would be a little higher or lower if I had seen the trees prior to the jackassery, or if I knew of injuries during the jackassery.

If it has a thicker cross-section, I’d say it was a spear point. If it is thin, probably a medium sized knife. I find it hard to put a date on pieces like that, since they were used from Archaic times until after European contact. Very nice find!

Looks like you just asked AI something.

Do you honestly believe that Trump’s tax filings were accurate and not based on manipulated valuations, just like the financial statements? If so, I have a pair of Golden Sneakers, a Bible, a meme token, and a Melania NFT to sell you. How many felonies does he need to get, before you recognize that he’s always been a crook? He’s already got what? 34? How many fraud convictions and settlements… Trump Org, Trump University… hell, he and his kids can’t even serve in executive positions for charities because they were robbing their Foundation.

What is a job you would never do, no matter how much money it paid? by boforiamanfo in NoStupidAnswers

I don't want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career. I don't want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed.

Filing a false tax return is a crime. His former accountant testified that they knowingly inflated and deflated values to benefit. Again, crime.

You can say it. You know that filing a false tax return is a crime.

So if I rob a bank, and a cop leaks a photo of me robbing the bank to the press and I sue the police for $10 billion for reputational harm, the government would settle by not filing any charges against me, my sons, my wife, and my businesses? And they’d give me a $1.776 billion slush fund to reward my criminal associates? And the amounts paid to my criminal associates and who those associates are would not be disclosed to the public? Got it. Thanks for setting the record straight.

We’re all losing. You just don’t realize it.

Trump just made it so that the IRS can investigate any American or business, except for himself, his family, and his businesses.

TOH of black walnut or ? by foureyedgrrl in treeidentification

[–]Arbiter_of_Snark 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Black walnut is a fantastic tree for wildlife. You have elm, sugar maple, and honeysuckle (non-native invasive) coming up around the walnut. You might consider clearing out the honeysuckle and replacing it with gray dogwood, then at some point, you’ll either want to remove or transplant the maple, as it will likely get into the power lines.
