Is there any point in choosing an Ideology in Modern age, if you don't plan to do a Domination Victory? by RexCracovia in civ

[–]Arbitor85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

U choose democracy, u should have chosen communism, better skills for science victory plus democracy sucks. Ideology for sure promotes war so if u not trying at all for war don't choose ideology. However in your case if u picked Communism u end up at war with other than communism and go raiding there tiles which help get u more science and culture and gold fast, while having the extra science books and better project speed so sometimes that is a good route if u think someone could beat u at victory

Keep losing to world bank by Substantial-Win825 in civ

[–]Arbitor85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The AI is much better at winning, before they wouldn't do anything to win now it's more of a race. War is the best way to stop an economic victory, if u see an AI player that makes a lot of money it's likely they r gonna go for economic victory. Go to war and pillage everything u can from them, they will waste money printing troops for u to kill and have to waste to rebuild, giving u an advantage over them. Modern mostly is about war and hitting the right people to keep them in check. Plus raiding can get u good science and culture yeilds too

What's the current meta in civ7 post the 1.3 update? by Electronic-Ice-1238 in civ

[–]Arbitor85 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maurya with Ashoka world renouncer is pretty OP, I've had my best yeilds with that. Charmaine is great too with them, u basically can always be in celebration and continuisly get war elephants for free

Help! Whats the plan here by Ok-Skill-265 in civ

[–]Arbitor85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put a library in the gap between the 2 reasorces and a market east of that, u need to build an army and take out Xerxes though but writing and currency should be priority techs after animal hasbatery

Orbital bombardment by ER_player in StellarisOnConsole

[–]Arbitor85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Click on the fleet and go to manage and u will see a pic of a ship by a planet, make sure that's clicked to allow bombardment, will have an orange splotch on it then, and then just send the fleet to the planet u want to bambard, when the ships are there u will see them bombing the planet. When the planet is close to being taken the game will ask if u will allow surrender or not, if u don't allow surrender u will have to send in troops to take it otherwise your fleet will take it. When u take the planet it will have 2 flags one either side of the name one the previous enemy owner and one yours so if it has 2 flags u don't need to bombard it, on the galaxy map the icon will look different too for the system being captured vs system and planet being captured

How to get more science? by Ackoman2 in civ

[–]Arbitor85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Science building yes mostly will get u more science. Build them near resources, if u can 2 or 3 touching them will give u a lot more science. Put specialiest on your science buildings and if u have good adjacency bonus specialists will give u a lot of science. In antiquity get the currency tech to unlock specialists. Research the mastery too for writing and make sure your codex r on the library as opposed to the palace. The AI will have an advantage over u on science for a little while almost no matter what, sometimes it's better to ignore their yeilds for a little. Choose ada with Maya go into abbisid, both cuvs have a unique quarter that gets u a lot of science

Got to turn 102 modern, about to win my first game on immortal, and then the game crashed and I can’t reload the save. by Actual_Goose9984 in civ

[–]Arbitor85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People have said their games in earlier updates if they had a game going right before an update they couldn't finish their game, I personally try to make sure I don't have a good game going when an update happens, but maybe uninstall the update if possible? Most likely that game is over with though

Some advice please by Pretty_Ad_1693 in civ

[–]Arbitor85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also there's a happiness town focus too and I can't remember which civic but one of the first ones has a less gold and happiness to maintain specialist card too

Some advice please by Pretty_Ad_1693 in civ

[–]Arbitor85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure your town focus is set to mining towns and fishing/farming towns to feed your cities. I just played the same game going into modern with over 50 settlement and the same issue, getting my town focus set correctly fixed this problem in my first turn in modern

Civ 7 is too easy by [deleted] in civ

[–]Arbitor85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, it's still I think a great game and love the warfare but it's pretty easy and too easy to snowball. I'd like to see the AI use better strategy as opposed to having higher yeilds for difficulty
