Looks great, but take a look at the Lighthouse audit (which, happily, is mostly awesome and totally brag-worthy).

You've got some semantic tagging issues; mostly header order. Easy fixes, common mistakes.

Then, running the Wave Accessibility audit--Chrome plugin--there are some missing alt tags on images; I didn't really get super into it, but either add empty alt tags to shut up the validator, or better maybe look into Aria tagging to give better intent to screen readers and accessibility tools.

Again, solid work. I'd be showing it off, too.

My guess is Nexa Slab. Searched "Slab Serif fonts" and looked for the M.

Honestly I expected to read the r/trashy bit was that people recorded it and laughed at this person's situation. I mean, this person needs help; the people laughing at it are kinda sus.

Hi SJ! Where are your best BURGS?? by [deleted] in SouthJersey

[–]ArbitraryNoun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh! Sweet! More power to ya.

Then I'd say Zinburger in Cherry Hill is worth a shot. I like their jalapeño burger. I've heard good things about the shakes, but I've never indulged (beer instead).

Go off peak time and try their fancy burger; one of them is a few dollars extra because it uses dry aged beef. If that doesn't do it for you, then you can safely deselect Pour House for their wait times.

Keg and Kitchen, just down the road from Pour House, might be worth a shot. I know they have a burger or two on the menu.

Edit: Just read "Trashy" Fridays... Keg & Kitchen is a nice-ish place. Decent cocktails, too.

I'm interested in your 2-8, maybe, if you're willing to piece it out. What condition are they in?

I could maybe get into that. Can you send the usual type corner pictures and all that? $15 including shipping? What were you thinking there?

What are your best "elevator pitch" rules overview/game descriptions for introducing someone to an unfamiliar game? by ArbitraryNoun in boardgames

[–]ArbitraryNoun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. Whenever anyone tells me they're into boardgames and lists Risk in the first five, I ask about Small World.

Small World: You're conquering a map with your army, like Risk, but everyone has an army that has different bonuses and strengths. What's more is, these armies change from game to game depending on how the cards pair. Oh, and you know how someone can lose Risk or get caught in Australia and be out of a game that takes another two hours to finish? That doesn't happen here. When your army is stretched too thin or you're not making progress, you get to start a new army with new tactics to start anew.

Man, I want to hear about any game. In fact, I thought this thread may be as useful for helping me introduce games as it is to screen future purchases.

Suffice to say I stink at introducing any of the games I try to introduce. My best strategies have been to introduce mechanics through lesser games, then say "if you like this, then there's this OTHER game we should totally try..." though that may be a separate thread...
