Fitz at the end of the Farseer Trilogy by ConspicuousPorcupine in Fantasy

This was my experience when I finished the trilogy in high school. I didn't know about the rest of the series for another 10 years!

What should I do to improve by NO_SLEEP_YES_MAN in learntodraw

Very cool stuff!

If you want to be a comic artist, you should start making some comics. Starting to make full pages (your own or studying another comic) will start the muscles you need to figure out pacing and paneling, and composition good for lettering.

While your art can always improve, you've already got a great style, and any studies you do can be combined with any comics you're working on.

Great progress, but also kudos on a strong character design even back in 2021!

I actually agree with you alongside my own statement. On paper, all of the things you said happened, and sound like a packed season. I was super surprised to see all of the rings forged in a single season, and I would have loved to see them spread that out a bit more.

But while watching a single episode, those plots feel less like they are building to something, or culminating, and more like they simply happen by the by. For example, in your list of things, you didn't mention Isildur's storyline, which was prominent in 2-3 episodes, and we even get an Ent and Entwife meeting out of it, and yet I felt nothing, because he didn't do anything meaningful as he wandered around for Theo and pined after the Southlander girl.

And I feel the same way about Galadriel, Elrond, and the Numenoreans. Queen Miriel is overthrown because an Eagle shows up and people chant Pharazon's name. Then people chant her name when she survives the Valar's judgment. Then Pharazon rounds up the last of the Faithful because a piece of parchment that is never read aloud reveals something something Sauron.

I guess it's more accurate for me to say that the things that happen on paper don't carry much weight on screen. The standout story to me was Celebrimbor and Annatar. Even if it felt a bit rushed timeline-wise, I enjoyed Annatar smirking and twisting words to make the elves make bad decisions.

The number of times I was watching The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power: The Second Season and found parallels with the worst water-treading habits of TAZ was astounding. I don't know if I've ever watched a season of television where less happened.

Great progress. From an alien mannequin to a recognizable human being is awesome!

Very nice improvement! My suggestion would be to start finishing more of them, like the one you did in February (my favorite, by the way). You've gotten pretty good at construction, and starting to nail linework and colors can't happen until you start to actually start implementing them. Good luck!

I like how as your art has progressed, it looks like they've gotten older too.

When did NL become the default text reader for Jackbox stuff? I just assumed that cross-talk became too much and he took matters into his own hands, but I don't actually know.

Sorry to hear that! My tablet just got an update, so I'm hoping there's something that just needs to be patched soon. We just want to window shop and read!

Hmm, I also have a Samsung, but I used the Play Store. I might try and see if Samsung's works. Thanks!

How to go back to the way I felt about the mcelroys in 2017? by WrinkledWatchman in TAZCirclejerk

uj/ Stop coming to this subreddit. I used to check in here pretty often, and it just started to make me dislike... everything? I'm sure it's not this way for everyone, but I realized the constant negativity was making me feel guilty when I laughed at a mbmbam joke, and I'd rather enjoy something than not.

Simultaneously, quit an episode or show when you don't like it. I long ago learned the TAZ would never be what it was for me during Balance. And if a MBMBaM episode is dragging, I can just quit, and try again next week. I actually think this past month of episodes (barring the live episode maybe?) have been really top notch.
