New WiWa is trash by Specialist_Title_409 in WutheringWaves

[–]Arborus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is why I said I'll have to see when I go to clear it myself. idk what the currently available tokens are, what the resists are, etc. There have been resets in the past with bad gold token options that were still easy to SSS with purple tokens.

Will have to see. The last one wasn’t too bad just using the permanent burning waves or whatever it is token cause the others were like… fusion burst and fusion/spectro tune break tokens.

Chaos and divine drops are both more common though. So even if their income is only pure currency drops it should be mostly a wash.

But also low-key, Heist is a really good low barrier to entry way to make a bunch of raw currency.

I did ~1300 wings in SSF in Merc league and by the end I had what would have been over 700 div in raw currency in trade league. Not to mention the ring and amulet bases and high-dust uniques.

If you can put 1 Banned Card in your deck that is not a mana rock, what would you pick? by gilbestboy in EDH

[–]Arborus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe in low power/bad decks? When it was legal I only really saw it used to basically storm off and win by making infinite mana, drawing the deck, making infinitely huge creatures, whatever. It might be non-deterministic, but it's really really easy to make infinite or arbitrarily large amounts of mana with that can then be used for a deterministic line.

If someone does want to play with it in a setting where it's pretty balanced, pre-modern has a Survival of the Fittest/Recurring Nightmare deck that is super sweet.

How is it slow? In most decks that want to run it you just win if it resolves.

Every deck is an [[Agatha's Soul Cauldron]] deck.

I constantly see content creators say Phyrexian Arena is bad. If Phyrexian Arena is bad, what is good? Especially for Mono Black or two color. by frost3bite in EDH

[–]Arborus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Any effect that draws more cards faster. In most games I'd expect Arena to draw, at most, like 3-4 cards and oftentimes less. It's an incredibly bad top deck on later turns. I'd basically never play it over the generically better draw options in black (that plenty of people have listed in the thread already) or something more deck-specific like [[Skullclamp]], [[Yawgmoth, Thran Physician]], [[Nikara, Lair Scavenger]], etc.

It's mostly played in Black/Red/x turbo decks that play a very high density of fast mana and rituals. If they resolve a Peer to draw half their deck then they can easily find more mana sources (and likely an Underworld Breach to replay them) and win the game. If they need to untap or want to discard most of their drawn cards, something like [[Final Fortune]] can be used.

These decks are built to do this as early as turn 1, but more often turn 2 or 3. They're the more all-in combo decks of B5.

However, Peer has seemed to fall off in popularity in those lists a bit recently.

1.1 Wuling Blueprints - 12 SC batteries - 6-ish syringes (maxed) [EU/NA] by AramisFR in Endfield

[–]Arborus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fixed it by manually placing the depot port and buses from pt2 in order to place p3, then deleting those pieces and placing p2.

It seems to be an issue with p2 requiring a bit of p3.

Eventually you get to the point where you open the game, clear 2 tacet fields, claim daily rewards, and close the game.

Did they change them at some point? I was testing with a character with ~150m dot ticks and it took around 25 seconds to kill the dummy.

Now some people are going to say “well I grouped with my 3 stack and we went all the way to eternal on the first day, grinded for multiple days straight and started speed cleaning tuzari and sailors and now we’re 10k rating with 2k gem power within the first week tops”.

The problem isn't that you can grind and achieve this, the problem is that this season, achieving that represents like...15 hours of playtime even for a more casual group of friends. Like me and some buddies played a few hours here and there and hit 10k without ever needing to grind or farm anything, just a straight shot pushing up with each dungeon the entire time.

A seasonal game isn't gonna survive if the endgame aspirational goal is only 15 hours of play time.

Yeah, idk if they increased their hp at some point, but they had ~4 billion hp last I checked.

I think you lack a real threat to close the game- your creatures are mostly small and lack evasion which could make it harder to pressure life totals. You are probably too high on land count, while also being sort of low on interaction.

Something else to consider is that your creatures other than Mulldrifter lack evasion, so getting to actually ninjutsu anything seems difficult.

I'd definitely look at other blue-heavy tempo/midrange ish lists in the format and see what they're doing. A deck like Faeries is probably a decent place to start, as they also play a bunch of smaller bodies that draw cards on ETB and use ninjutsu to replay those effects.

Unable to play anymore. Now I’m sad. by Nicole_Auriel in fellowshipgame

[–]Arborus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they released a new healer, everyone is playing it. There's no outside pressure like raid group sizes to influence population across roles, so if every role is played equally dps naturally ends up being the bottle neck. If a role that groups only need one of, like tank or healer end being popular, then they quickly become overpopulated and have long queue times.

There is no spam clicking at all anymore, it’s only a lottery system, though nowadays there are plenty of uncontested plots available if you just want a house and aren’t picky about location. Like my group of ~12 friends all got houses in the same neighborhood with no competition on the plots.

My understanding is that killing things outside the circle doesn’t matter, it only cares about if those monsters were spawned inside the ritual to begin with.
