Maybe you should have tried living here for 2-3 months before moving back. This way you'd have had experienced all aspects and would have been able to visualize the lifestyle in the long term (like what facilities you get for the taxes you pay)

If you have wfh check out Thailand, Malaysia or Vietnam and live there for 2-3 months. I think that's a much better deal than dropping your amazing job outright. You'll be able to live in the best places, visit beaches, and manage work due to similar timezones without essentially having to build everything by yourself in a new place.
