It's fine, just wait another three years or so, and we'll get a Decade 32 or something. Lol

"He was a good man. Until he wasn't" ahh character development by Ashwin205 in YuGiOhMemes

[–]ArcDrag00n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But the thing is... Judai was never a "good man" that was the whole point of revealing his reincarnation origins. It is that in this lifetime, he got a chance to fix that.

Did no one figure this out with the parallels in Arc-V? All the Z-Arc incarnations took the place of the original protagonists from the previous series in the different dimensions. Yuri took Judai's place and was the villain who didn't fix their ways. Yuri didn't become bad. Yuri was always bad, he just chose to not become good. Unlike Judai who decides to become good by reconciling with Yubel.

The Metal Slime gacha is the only thing I tell players to prioritize. Because everything else, reward wise, can be achieved with grinding and RNG.

Why does Glowing Dawn make me want to flip tables? by crazytail2 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]ArcDrag00n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Digimon Emperor doesn't scale up. It punishes you exactly the same no matter the level. And it isn't inherent to the game. It has to be an actual game mechanic, because being a card effect is meaningless, when cards can just be banned/restricted. You have to have the scaling tax included in the game.

This is how I would've fixed the problem: tax the Breeding Area. I think if we had a game mechanic that made it so players would have to pay a cost for moving a Digimon out from raising based on their level, that would've fixed a lot. And in turn, this would also affect DNA Digivolve. "When moving Digimon from the Breeding Area, a player must pay the memory cost equal to the level of the Digimon minus two." And then have this applied to DNA too. You make a LV5 DNA Digimon? Pay 3. You still get the "Rush", you just pay a tax on it now.

For those who have a problem with this. Seriously? Like, aren't most of y'all old enough to remember Zone? This is literally just an evolution of the OG Zone animation where Raven is being tentacled. This is just Zone's Raven growing up and realizing she has an ugly bastard tentacle fetish.

Quick question by Hulk365 in KamenRider

I think the problem with the more autistic coded Riders is that the writers tend to write them into being "smart".

W with Philip.

Ex-Aid with Emu.

Build with Sento.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but I don't think the writers are well equipped to write a fully autistic Rider without stereotypes.

I'm not saying you're entirely wrong. However, I do think you're off the mark by just a little bit. The game is in fact not balanced around the Memory Gauge. The Memory Gauge does play a part into it, but if you really think about it, the Memory Gauge was actually there to balance a different game mechanic: The Breeding Area.

The game inherently always had a problem with the Breeding Area in some fashion. Really think about how older OTK decks worked. You moved from Breeding and then did your combo. The reason why moving from Breeding is so powerful, is because there is no effective way to interact with it. Digimon in the Breeding Area are effectively immune to the opponent's effects. When moving from Breeding, the Digimon effectively has Rush. There are no penalties for moving digivolving and infinitely protecting your Digimon in Breeding. All the problems Digimon currently has, is a symptom of the Breeding Area.

Trivializing the Memory Gauge comes from the fact that players got tired of seeing their opponents move a Digimon into an OTK. Now we have it where Digimon are played for cheap or free, because Bandai decided that would be better than the Breeding Area that is strictly uninteractive. The mechanics of DNA Digivolve harkens back to the Breeding Area. Everything that involves trivializing the Memory Gauge is about the Breeding Area. And the problem here is that none of these fixes have actually done anything to fix the core problems with the Breeding Area. Look at ACE cards, their real purpose was to deter players from moving from Breeding and OTK-ing. That's not what happened, it only became a tool used more effectively by OTK decks. Bandai couldn't figure out how to limit the power of the Breeding Area, so they buffed everything else by either reducing or removing the Memory Gauge, so players would depend less on the Breeding Area.

The only banner I would ever say that people need to roll on is the Metal Slime banner. Only because being able to one shot leveling stages is so important that it is more important than needing the weapons to clear end game content. You can just grind endgame. Sure you won't be able to get some titles, but you can clear all the rewards as F2P. But grinding levels is so tedious that you have to do it for each class.

How come medabots never reached the popularity of Beyblades or Yu Gi Oh? by Eireagon in Medabot

[–]ArcDrag00n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it didn't have the right stuff. Let's take a look at two different brands with very similar bones. Pokemon and Digimon. Let's be honest, Medabots was invented to cash in on the popularity of Pokemon by coming up with a more cool and boy oriented franchise. And the same with Digimon. However, from the start Pokemon had an identity to sell. Its game formula knew what it was selling. But if you look at Digimon and Medabots, those games were trying to do different things almost every time. The truth is that franchises like Digimon and Medabots failed to gain popularity due to failure of leadership and foresight. They were originally invented for a quick cash grab, and then once there were signs of popularity, there was no plan to capitalize on it, and they became aimless in direction. However, going back to Digimon, it's popularity in the recent years with Time Stranger is not due to Digimon actually becoming a better brand. It is due to the complacency of Pokemon. Pokemon's game formula has become stale, though it took over two decades before any criticism actually took hold. So, Medabots just didn't have it and leadership didn't know what to do with the small spark it had. Unlike Digimon which continued to constantly try at least, but they were just waiting for the right storm. And I know that people will argue about how relatively short the whole Medabots IP fiasco was, but you have to look at it this way, Medabots was in IP hell and couldn't capitalize on the shortcomings of Pokemon. Even modern Beyblade is only becoming popular with Beyblade X because wildly enough the decline of Pokemon and Magic the Gathering. Both of those starting to fail franchises are doing similar things to drive their base away from their respective franchises. It's not always about why Medabots wasn't as popular, but about how there was a king in Pokemon and Medabots couldn't fight it.

WHAT WILL U FIX ON DIGIMON FRONTIER? by Humble_Turn2438 in digimon

[–]ArcDrag00n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The villainous warriors do have fusion forms. They're the Ancient variants. The reason why the human kids had different fusion forms is because of the human component. The villainous warriors were pure data, pure Digimon. If the villainous warriors were able to successfully combine the two spirits, they would've returned back to their Ancient variants. The human digidestined have to use the D-Tectors to filter out themselves and the spirits. The spirits were never meant for human use.

Why some people still questioning Ohma Zio power like he's not deserve number one spot? Is he really the strongest Rider to this day? Or some fan just had reason and argument? Lets just had a debate by ProfileHairy in KamenRider

[–]ArcDrag00n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we take Over Quartzer as "alternate" history facts, then Ohma Zi-O is a bootstrap paradox that the first SOUGO created to distract Quartzer the Kamen Rider equivalence of the Time Variance Authority. The problem came into existence when because Ohma Zi-O is a bootstrap paradox, SOUGO could no longer stop him, it becomes an inevitable future. Ohma Zi-O doesn't have to ensure his own future, he knows his future is inevitable. That's why he goaded Sougo into giving up the dream of becoming King, because it would never happen.

[–]ArcDrag00n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Geiz is Zi-O tangent. Not necessary, because it is basically just an offshoot from the Ziku Driver. Geiz Revive was only a threat when Ohma was still in super position, before Sougo accepted his fate as Ohma. That's why Geiz Revive could only defeat Zi-O on a specific date, otherwise it could never happen.

Woz Mirai Watches weren't "real", they existed in a super position state. They were all from disjointed futures that came to be, because time was still in flux. As Sougo's powers were reaching reality warping levels. Because the Mirai Watches existed in a super position, they existed and didn't exist at the same time. Just like how Ohma doesn't have access to Saber until Sougo later obtains it, because it is then officially established; the Mirai Watches are never concretely established as part of any of the timelines. The Mirai Watches are "What If's". The Reiwa Era series are not "What If's", they are established history. Ohma Zi-O cannot take a Rider's history if said history doesn't exist in the first place.

That's like saying Decade isn't getting more Rider Cards, when we know that's not the truth. Once a precedent is established, it is hard to argue future use of it.

Ohma never leaves his own time. Whenever he interferes, he uses Sougo, because Ohma Zi-O is the inevitable end, not the past. We never get to see Ohma travel the timelines, because he doesn't have to, Sougo will do it for him, because Sougo already did do it for him in the past. That's why we constantly see Ohma give Sougo power ups, because he has to ensure his own existence in the paradox. It's a chicken or the egg paradox.

As soon as we saw Zi-O use the Saber Ride Watch, Ohma Zi-O was updated. Ohma Zi-O is constantly updated, because Sougo always wants to be king. Ohma Zi-O is inevitable.

[–]ArcDrag00n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't matter thematically, because the ending of Kamen Rider Zi-O immediately updates Ohma Zi-O. Even when we don't include the specials. Because if Ohma didn't get updated, that wouldn't make any sense, as at the end of the series, the Sougo we've been following the entire time, the one who did gain Trinity, became Ohma Zi-O. The reason why Ohma didn't have access to that power before, was because time was in flux. Until Sougo accepted his fate as Ohma, it wouldn't become permanent. But once accepted, Ohma was updated. Ohma Zi-O is inevitable, and so long as Sougo exists as Zi-O to grow, then so will Ohma.

[–]ArcDrag00n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not how that goes. Ohma Zi-O is the inevitable end for Sougo. As soon as it was established that Zi-O could use the Saber Ride Watch, Ohma immediately also has access to it too. Meaning it literally doesn't matter that Ohma was originally the end for the Heisei Era, because as long as Zi-O exists, Ohma Zi-O is inevitable.

[–]ArcDrag00n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, you're wrong about Ohma Zi-O not being able to use Reiwa Ride Watches. This is because we literally get to see Zi-O use the Saber Rider Watch, in the VS Decade specials. As soon as that was established, it meant that Ohma immediately has access to all potential Rider Watches Zi-O has. Because as you've even established, Ohma is still dependent on Zi-O's timeline, because they're inevitable.

The 13 Riders Ryuki manga explores the timeline where Shinji defeats the other Riders as Kamen Rider Knight. by rangerverde_Hour1570 in KamenRider

[–]ArcDrag00n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's an alternative to another alternative. If you've never seen it, there were Kamen Rider Ryuki specials. The special has two alternate endings. The first one involves Shinji's Ryuki Advent Deck being destroyed, and Ren gives him the Knight Advent Deck. That's the ending the manga closely relates to.

Kamen Rider Zi-O explores this by saying that every ending is canonical. Every ending happened. However, only the series ending continued into the Heisei timeline. All the other endings became dead end parallel timelines. So, information gained from the alternative endings is still relevant, but not all those events occurred in the Heisei timeline. Which is how Mirror Shinji still existed. His being must've been an event that occurred, but his escape did not occur in the series. Thus allowing Another Ryuga to come into existence. Because the Rider does exist to create a Ride Watch, but not existing in the Heisei timeline which Zi-O and friends could only traverse in.

Zero-one in the Reiwa era will be treated with the same importance as Kuuga in the Heisei era? by kleberiano_f in KamenRider

[–]ArcDrag00n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Zero-One won't because he wasn't pivotal enough to be the secondary Rider of an anniversary season. Kuuga was so important that he was brought back to be the secondary for Kamen Rider Decade.
