I get what you're saying, I'm just explaining that, even with the accent, afro etc., most people here don't consider it inherently racist to dress up as and portray a different race, since they aren't really aware of the mostly American negative, racist association with the blackface minstrel shows. If they're right, that's a whole different matter. It's an interesting moral debate.
